• Worked as ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the department of Ophthalmology at HIHT, Jolly Grant Himalayan Hospital, Dehradun from 05-09-2011 to 26-09-012. After that have been working as Specialist Medical Officer (eye) at District Hospital, Haridwar on contract basis.. Worked as CHIEF EYE SURGEON at Shri Swami Bhumanand Charitable Hospital and Research Institute, Haridwar, from March 2000 till July 2011 (12 years) . Areas of interest are Cataract Surgery including SICS, PHACO, Keratoplasty, Glaucoma, Refractive Surgery and Laser applications in Ophthalmic practice. Have conducted about 750 Eye Camps and performed About 1, 00, 000 (one lakh) Cataract surgeries so far including 25000 by SICS, 5000 by PHACO, 45000 by conventional Extracapsular method and rest by Intracapsular method. Have performed about 700 Keratoplasties besides 1500 Glaucoma filtering surgeries till date. Conversant with Laser applications including YAG Capsulotomy and Iridotomy. Also performed about 4000 minor procedures including Trauma repairs, Lid surgeries, Pterygium and Foreign Body Removal etc.
• Worked as SENIOR EYE SURGEON in Charitable Hospitals of Haridwar since 1994 (4 years in Hari Bharti Charitable Eye Hospital and 2 years in Ganga Mata Charitable Eye Hospital, Haridwar)
• Worked as OPHTHALMOLOGIST in National Iranian Oil Company Hospital (Ministry of Petroleum, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of IRAN) for 2 years on contract (1992-1994)
• Between 1979 to 1985, had various stints as JUNIOR RESIDENT (HOUSE SURGEON) in departments of Community Medicine, Radiology and Radiotherapy besides MEDICAL OFFICER Posts in CGHS, CRPF and Ministry of Health (Islamic Republic Of Iran)
