Review business strategy, define project objectives, set priorities and manage technology budget for the implementation of the bank’s Compliance programme portfolio on Fraud Control (Implement a fraud monitoring solution that would detect, deter, analyse & monitor digital and non-digital banking channels to mitigate fraud against the bank and its customers) & Sanctions/Name Screening (Real-time scanning for payments, trades, on-boarding/ongoing customers against internal &N external sanction lists). These initiatives are targeted to support an effective compliance and supervision of national AML/CFT measures of QCB (Qatar Central Bank), by focusing on risks & on mitigation measures, increase investigations, remediation programs and the introduction of sophisticated monitoring capabilities.

Running and completing all project activities related to achieving “Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)” compliance in Commercial Bank for the first time in 10 years by managing the different QSA scoping, assessment & audit reviews activities and coordinating the different assignments to the project team (Business, Operations, IT and InfoSec) to fulfill the PCI assessment gaps in 3 months while the average time taken by other banks to achieve PCI compliance is 6-12 months. This was fully accomplished during the difficult COVID19 situation and being out of the office working remotely. The project has helped not only to significantly increase data security posture, but to also secure the ability to protect customer’s data from being stolen or leaked by malicious attackers.

Initiated, planned and managed smooth execution for a multimillion-QAR project of “IAM - Identity & Access Management” that aligns business goals with SailPoint Identity IQ technology solution to drive process improvements, risk reduction, competitive advantage and bottom-line gains for more effective and efficient Identity and Access Management services & governance suite processes of RBAC, JML, recertification, access request, MI reporting, applications on-boarding integration..etc.

Managing the different products and program portfolio of the bank’s Internal Control Business Units including Regulatory Compliance, Risk and Audit Departments by endorsing their business applications (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing Program, Compliance, Regulations & Governance “FATCA & CRS” Program) as per the classifications:
