PROJECT: KING SAUD UNIVERSITY, RIYADH
Engaged in execution of on-site monitoring, service, support & maintenance of Honeywell Building Automation system as well as third party control equipments. Currently handling 7 buildings with Honeywell Building Management System, with LonWorks® LonTalk as primary open communication protocol.
Work Scope
> Preventive as well as corrective maintenance in accordance with customer service agreement
> Supervision of installation, testing and commissioning of field devices e.g. actuators, sensors/transducers, flow switches and meters
> Fault diagnosis and rectification in HVAC as well as Access Control systems
> Configuration and performance tuning of Direct Digital Control points and parameters as per field and customer requirements
> Configuration and optimization of control networks
> HMI Server & Workstation integration
> Sequence of Operation programming, downloading, and commissioning of network for Chilled Water Systems and Air Handling Units, with following devices:
• Honeywell XL800 Plant controllers with panel I/O and distributed LON I/O modules
• Honeywell XL500 Smart Plant controllers with distributed LON I/O modules
• Honeywell XL10 Smart Variable Air Volume controllers
• Loytec EIA709 LON over IP Switches and Routers
> Ensuring customer satisfaction with regular meetings and providing proposals for system performance optimization
Learned practical aspects of HVAC processes on field and gained technical knowledge of field devices by assisting senior Honeywell Service & Application Engineers.
Responsibilities included
> Testing and verification of Direct Digital Control points via Honeywell XI582 Operator Interface
> Testing field devices e.g. sensors, actuators etc
> Professional compilation of technical reports and maintenance logs
• 6 weeks Internship as per University requirements
• Worked with Avionics Engineers for Maintenance Dept.
• Responsible for troubleshooting various 14-28V DC-powered Standard Panel Instruments’ circuits
- Degree accredited with Pakistan Engineering Council - Represented Bahria University in 8th Intl. Final Year Project Exhibition, organized by Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, held at Expo Centre Karachi
