Deliver English language lessons to students effectively in an active learning environment, developing and utilizing the varied learning resources available to provide effective, innovative and appropriate instruction.
Prepare course materials such as class materials, homework assignments, and handouts.
Communicate course and program-related information to students in a clear and timely manner.
Contribute to the planning, evaluation, and revision of curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
Communicate information on progress and performance to students and other appropriate persons. Participate in department and system assessment moderation processes as required.
Participate as required, in the administering and marking of all department and system wide English assessments.
Be available to travel to any location for designated meetings, workshops, system-wide assessment and marking sessions and conferences as part of the duties.
Participate in an annual Performance Enhancement Program in co-operation with the Professional Development team.
Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, discussing with colleagues, and participating in department & university professional development as well as professional conferences.
Identify emotional, intellectual, physical, etc. issues which may be hindering the student from learning to his/her best potential, and research and recommend courses of action.
Organize, accompany and supervise students on field trips where required
Teach the assigned course in accordance with the course outlines (Practical English Syllabus) in order to meet the objectives of the institution.
Create a trusting atmosphere through sensitivity and analyze the strengths, weakness and qualities of the students.
Experience individual and group counseling for preventing the improper behaviors among young group.
Encourage the students to communicate with each other using the structures and vocabulary they have learnt, and to improve the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Improve students conversational English, improve their standard of English in preparation for school exams; to improve their English to gain entry to an English speaking university; or in order to be able to use English in their job
Use a wide range of course books, other materials and a variety of audio-visual aids.
Emphasis on dialogue and role-playing, but more formal exercises, language games and literature will also be used.
Make sure that everyone is able to speak English properly after the course gets over.
Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and/or graduate students on topics such as poetry, novel structure and translation and adaptation.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
Ensure the principles ethical practice and other legislative requirements including commitment to the principles of cultural diversity in education and employment are applied to all staff and students.
Perform the teacher role in the most effective manner.
Provide assistance in the development of curriculum, teaching methods and resources.
Perform those administrative duties associated with their teaching.

Be involved in and assist as required within the corporate life of the Campus and Institute.
Advise and assist students to develop their educational programs and make them aware of the facilities the Institute provides.

- Teaching English Language for the primary stages.
- Provide a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Continuously monitor student learning and make appropriate modifications of goals and strategies to meet students' needs.
- Interact cooperatively with other staff members in the development of cohesive curriculum materials and the establishment of instructional goals.
- Engage with students in meaningful activities beyond the classroom which extend learning experiences for students (coaching, organizing field trips, sponsorship of clubs, events, or community service projects, etc.)
- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
- Coordinating and organising school’s entertainment activities.
- Manage and supervise sports contests inside and outside the school.
- Communicate with the local community to orient the importance of school activities.
- Evaluate school activities in order to develop them with the requirements of the students and their skills.
