INDIVIDUAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Areas of Responsibility
Purchasing
• Daily purchasing of stock and non-stock requirements
• Ensure all purchases are completed in accordance with policy
• Obtain quotes for minor purchases
• CAPEX purchasing - Quoting, collating prices, receiving and asset management processes
• Daily phone queries regarding Tech1, pricing, ordering etc.
• Liaison with accounts/information systems
• Liaison with external suppliers
• Assist Materials Management staff
• Update price files and implement contract changes
• Maintain product masterfiles
• Ensure all items purchased are delivered in a timely manner at the correct price and quantity
• Provide product information pricing and reports as required
• Other tasks assigned by the Logistics Manager
Relationship Management
• Develops and maintains strong collaborative relationships with others as required to facilitate the performance of the service
• Works with others to develop initiatives to improve, promote, and develop the service provided
Works closely with all staff to ensure strong integration between the activities and accountabilities is achieved
Communication
• Contributes to effective organisational communication
• Communicates effectively with members of staff, the public and other external organisations
Health and Safety
• Maintains knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
• Complete incident forms when required and forward to Quality Services
• Participates in health and safety training as required
• Identifies and recommends via appropriate channels, changes to minimise risk
Continuous Quality Improvement
• Promote compliance with policies, procedures and protocols relevant to the role
• Assist in the development of new policies and procedures
• Regularly audit the services provided
