Staring 2017, Sunbulah Group transformed from functional structure into business units structure, instead of having Product Supply organization for the whole group’s categories (Honey, Frozen products, Commercial, etc), they have now Honey as separate business unit has its own Supply Chain, Marketing, HR, Finance, etc. I was assigned in this new structure as the Value Buying and Planning Manager for the Honey Business Unit, reporting to the GM.
Functions under the new assignment:
• Raw and Packaging Materials sourcing.
• Fixed Assets and Plants Purchasing (spare parts and services).
• Demand Planning for Saudi Core Market and all International Markets.
• Market Planning (Initiatives Management) for HBU projects.
• Customer Service for all International Markets.
Integrated Planning for the Honey Business Unit (Production and Material Planning, as well as Capacity Planning)
Responsible on on all Planning aspects in Sunbulah Group Plants, Planning aspects includes:
- Raw & Packing Materials Planning.
- Production Planning
- Capacity Planning
- Initiatives Planning
- Supply Planning
- Inventory Control Management
Responsible to run the following three key functions in the organization:
1- Supply Planning - Manage the S&OP cycle related to Sales Forecasting, maintain the process and SLA between Supply Chain and Business Team (Sales and Marketing).
2- Initiatives Planing - Manage the process of launching new products and promo's from the idea stage till the product availability.
3- Inventory Control - Responsible to optimize the overall company inventory levels of raw and packing materials, and finished products, in order to enhance the overall company cash flow.
Managing the following three integrated functions:
1- Material Planning (Raw and Packaging Materials)
2- Plants Purchasing (mainly Spare Parts, local and imported)
3- Logistics (In-Bound Logistics)
In addition to the job responsibilities of "Cosultant", this job responsibilities are:
-Business Partners Selection and Evaluation.
-Perform Vendor Selection and Evaluation Consulting services.
-Leading the Implement team of ERP Projects (Oracle Mfg Module).
-Managing IT projects (ERP, IT Audit, Security Audit, and ISO 27001).
-Building Material Management System Policies and Procedures.
-Building Polices and Procedures for ISO 9000 certification.
-Building Quality Manuals for ISO 9000 certification.
-Developing Franchise Manuals.
-Data Analysis using SPSS.
-Products Development (consulting work).
-Prepare purchasing plans in coordination with sales, financial, purchasing, and marketing departments.
-Maintain raw material inventory levels consistent with sales requirements and planned ratios.
-Support Production lines productivity targets.
-Develop SOP’s and tables for hygiene.
-Ensure 100% inspection of all "critical raw material" received.
-Develop and implement proper inventory policies.
-Cost Reduction.
-Reduce working capital by Improving DII (Days In Inventory) performance indicator.
In addition to the responsibilities of "Production Planning and Control Division Head", this job responsibilities are:
-Manage the implementation project of Integra ERP Solution.
-Change Control and Change Management.
-Perform "limited" technical tasks (reports generation).
-Develop Pack up policies and back up generation.
-Prepare purchasing plans (yearly and every third).
-Review the forecast plan with the customers; take the required action(s).
-Involved in Marketing activates and plans.
-Create different KPI's to improve the production capacity/utilization.
-EMR (Environmental Management Representative) for ISO 14000.
-Internal ISO 9000 auditor.
-Follow up the purchasing plans with purchasing department.
-Follow up the sales plans and determine the forecast bias.
-Follow up the warehouses and QC departments for shipped delivered.
-Coordinate FG shipments delivery date in coordination with production and warehouses departments.
-Follow up and coordinate for the weekly production schedule meetings.
-Internal ISO 9000 auditor.
- Monitoring the production schedule and respond to the updates needed.
- Ensuring that the production is cost effective.
- Coordinate, set up and implement the standard operating procedures in all production operations.
- Making sure that the products are produced on time and delivered to the finished goods warehouse of good quality.
- Optimize the resource utilization by implementing effective and flexible production organization.
- Drive the continuous improvements activities to achieve the best practices.
- Implementing the QA and QC procedures.
- Drafting timetable for all jobs to set the weekly production schedule.
- Ensure the implementation of the approved health and safety procedure.
- Work with the top management to ensure the implementation of the company's policies and business objectives.
- Internal ISO 9000 auditor.
