- Ownership of the month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting process for the Group.
- Assisting with improving and maintaining strong financial controls and processes across the Group.
- Completing and reviewing monthly control reconciliations.
- Assisting with annual statutory reporting process and liaising with internal/external auditors.
- Assisting with preparation of the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensuring the integrity of all financial data at month-end and year-end.
- Ensuring management accounts are accurately prepared to tight monthly deadlines.
- Preparing ad-hoc financial reports for the Senior Management & Board as required,
(Facility Coverage Monitoring Report, Shares Evaluation Report … etc.)
- Implementing recommendations from both internal and external audit reviews across the business.
- Monitoring of KPIs.
- Liaise with banks & Brokers for all banking activities, loans and trades transactions.
- Coordinates the budgeting process with the Budget Controller to ensure appropriate control procedures are followed.
- Review Expenses Budget base on a yearly Basis to insure its appropriateness.
- Coordinates budget preparation in accordance with timelines established by Management.
- Provides all training and education needs for all BUs Managers to ensure budgeting processes are followed consistently.
- Review Monthly Budget Variance Reports and coordinate with Bus’ for Justification.
- Provide Management with Monthly Budget Reports including Justification of Variances.
- Focus on KPIs, like return on investment, in order to provide recommendations and action plans. Aiming to lead improvements in the performance and effectiveness of the organization, by optimizing the resource allocation and maximizing the profitability & sales growth.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure variances relative to the adopted plan and preparing monthly management reports including recommendations
- Assess performance benchmarks and recommend changes
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into FMS (Financial Management System)
- Maintain & reconcile the expense, purchase, sales
- Handling & Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.
- Prepare and monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modeling.
- Maintain and update the fixed assets register
- Insure the accuracy of the Monthly closing process and Prepare monthly, Quarterly, Yearlyregional financial statements (P/L, Balance sheet)
- Responsible of the Preparation of the Stand Alone FS for Zakat filing Purposes.
- Prepare the Zakat file and submit it to External Auditor for filing with DZIT
- Liaise & Coordinate with HQ to assist in the annual external auditing
- Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department & Maintain the internal control requirements.
- Preparation and monitoring of Plan, Budget & Forecast, and monthly, Quarterly, Yearly analysis and prepare reports for Regional, Area, HQ and local management review.
- Prepare affiliate annual plans budget & forecast and long range Plans.
- Analyze and Interpret monthly results and liaison with functional groups to determine future exposures against current benchmark.
- Contributing to development and overseeing the implementation of departmental policies.
- Respond to ad-hoc queries from management at regional and Division level
- Measuring & review of KPI reporting tools including testing and reconciliation against current reporting tools to aid the process of continuous improvement.
- Design, organize and Maintain the consistent Standard costing system and control all the activities of the cost accounting applications
- Ensures maximum coordination with the concerned BUs’ and Departments (IT, Logistics, Warehouse ... etc.) For all related activities in order to continually refine and insure the maximum accuracy of SOP, Monitoring Supply chain performance & precisely update and control Actual and Standard costing system.
- Ensure the accuracy of cost allocation process, and monitors the variances between the Standard andActual costs ( Absorption Costing System),
- Refine metrics and establishing tracking system for major cost drivers.
- Oversee budget and forecasting relating to cost accounting.
- Maintain and control the process of the inventory accounting and analyzing the Book-Physical counts.
- Partner with commercial team to drive operating performance and execution.
- Handling commercial/operational reports, Daily, Weekly, Monthly business information, including monthly revenue forecasting.
- Participating in pricing strategy process and margin target
- Perform other duties as requested by the DGM Finance/Commercial
- Accomplishment all opening procedures of L/C s (Letters of Credit).
- Controlling all opened L/C s data until close represented in :
( Bill of lading dates, Due dates, Coverage amounts, Due amounts … etc.)
- Recording all L/C s entries and calculating the profit & loss from foreign Currency Translation attributable to rate fluctuations.
- Preparing and processing all L/C s reports and cash flow budget to the financial management and treasury department to be into consideration.
- Supervising all documents & shipments Expenses.
- Book keeping, invoicing, cost controlling, monthly cash amounts,
- Accomplishment financial statements & dealing with the clients.
