Facilitated onshore projects requiring management of large and complex EPC projects for ‘Fertilizer industry’ & ‘Gas pipelines network'. Also serves as a PMO for Oil/Gas clients.
▪ Oversaw site construction activities, EPC contractor’s schedule progress and change
management plans. Charting contractor’s deliverables to drive the Project(s) KPIs.
▪ I worked alongside the client during design, engineering and construction phase, i.e., work with PMT, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders with both Fertilizer & Oil/Gas industry. The clients are located in GCC Arabia and the technical SMEs in Italy.
▪ Proficient in method statements, comparisons of bids, technical clarifications, and complete buys, thus reducing change management / reworks by 80%.
▪ Outline project requirements, including actively promoting work share, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress; ensuring all technical requirements are in full compliance with project specifications & EPC contract.
▪ Lead forecasting of costs for projects & for all Phases within FEED and EPC.
▪ Handled major EPCM projects and takes ownership of projects with assets of $90M.
▪ Ensure alignment of budget, commitment, and cost with regard to financial close processes, i.e., timely invoice processing, accruals, & cost transfers.
▪ Control cost aspects; streamline invoicing, & avoid overruns of the $3M project.
▪ Hold weekly contractor’s schedule review meeting(s) and direct the activities to
EPC contractor(s) at different sites, whilst continually auditing site(s) construction
activities, contractor’s schedule performances & tracking multiple project(s) KPIs.
▪ Liaison with all the major Project management offices (PMOs) and other related
plant operation units for interface issues and resolutions. Frequent interaction with
our Onshore/Offshore Planning team(s) of EPC-1, EPC-2 and EPC-3 projects.
▪ Resolves issues and conflicts within the project. Escalates any issues or conflicts that cannot be resolved at the PM level and present options or recommendations.
▪ Proven construction safety experience and knowledge, covering key areas such as Lifting and Cranage, Work at heights, Confined Space Entry, Work Permits & ITPs.
▪ Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company HSEQ policies.
▪ Led teams of upto 80+ staff across design offices & EPC projects responsible for $11 M + budgets.
