JOB PURPOSE
• Maintain the HIA FM permit to work process, through effective management of the HIA FM
permit to work in the PTC and through indirect management of the midfield delivery team. To evaluate
health and safety permits and ensure the best safety practice at Hamad International Airport.
• Manage the HIA E-Permit system by facilitating and attending regular review meetings with HIA
IT to evaluate the ongoing performance and suitability of the system. In addition, ensuring the system
delivers the requirements of the process and adequately deploys the HIA sale system of work (SSOW).
• Managing the progress and analysis of HIA FM departmental SSOW permit KPIs, through the
creation and presentation of monthly and quarterly health and safety statistical reports to HIA FM
department heads, to drive continuous improvement.
• To liaise with and assist and government bodies and regulating bodies where necessary, acting in
the best interest of HIA to ensure statutory compliance and safety implementation of adequate SSOW
supported by the HIA permit process.

JOB PURPOSE
Monitor and analyze safety practices in facility management to ensure safety awareness is a top priority to all
staff in this area and constantly improve safety standards. Ensuring that data gathered from regular checks on
a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis are compiled and analyzed to identify trends.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operational
• Supervise and control the facilities management health and safety permit to work procedure to
evaluate
health and safety permits including risk assessments method statement and airport rules to ensure best
safety practice in Hamad international airport
• To write and understand SOPs related to safety, working at height, confined space and fire safety
to provide continued control measures and instructions for safe working at Hamad international airport
• To manage accidents / incidents on the AQD system and subsequent related investigations to the
concerned manager / department, for the purpose of continuous improvement.
• To assist in obtaining and developing health and safety monthly and quarterly statistical reports to
be submitted to senior management
• To increase health and safety awareness throughout all levels of facility management through the
use of presentations, safety briefings and written process in order to improve safety awareness and safety
improvement
• To provide technical details for the implementation and control of risk assessment and method
statements in relation to civil and mechanical engineering and heating and ventilation systems (HVAC)
for the purpose of providing safety control across the airport
• To assist with health and safety inspections / audits throughout Hamad international airport to help
identify potential hazards in the workplace and designate the appropriate control measures to the
respective department for implementation
• To liaise with and assist respective government and regulative bodies where necessary and act in
the best interest of Hamad international airport to ensure statutory compliance and ensure
implementation
• To supervise the implementation of any out of house training that may be required at any time,
including activities such as developing materials, ongoing review of these materials and undertaking in-
house trainings and tool box talks from time to time with Hamad international airport members of staff
on identified safety topics
• Ensure proper implementation of NFPA 502 which covers tunnel safety are well adhered to, in the
airport Midfield and Airfield of Hamad international airport as well as servicing of all fire life safety
assets in the tunnel to meet NFPA requirements
• To supervise all airside contractors and the in-house teams to ensure that they carry put duties that
complies with ICAO / IATA expectations and requirements
Development
• Take responsibility for own ongoing development and growth of expertise
• Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management
• Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Hamad
international airport
• Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management
Operational Safety
• Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to
minimize health and safety risk for self and colleagues
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management
policies, procedures and controls across the operation to guarantee employee safety, security, legislative
compliance, delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude
• Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards
to ensure
that appropriate reporting, investigation and response are being achieved

Responsibilities
• Ensure all (M&E - Mechanical and Electrical) equipment are in good working
conditions as per client requirement.
• L
iaise with contractors, carried out risk assessments on preventive and corrective maintenance of
(M&E) equipment such as Air Quality Control Monitor Equipment (AQME), fire hose reel, fire
alarm, strobe panel, fire extinguishers' building management system BMS, fire alarm control
panel, centrifugal fire pump (NFPA20), (programmable logic control) PLC.
• Inspect airport tunnel, safety facility to deliver key airport safety standards per FAA
(Federal Aviation Administration) such as jet fan systems, installation and maintenance of
fire hose reel NFPA 14 and NFPA 25 codes, ensure fire extinguishers are subjected to hydrostatic
testing.
• Ensure the 11kv switchgear room is well protected by the pyrogen system and fm200 fire
extinguishers
• Liaise with LHD specialist (schlumberger) to plan preventive maintenance and jet
fan specialist flaktwoods to carry out maintenance
• Ensure the use of thermal imager to ensure correct temperatures in the control panel
• Ensure that the specified N.F.P.A(National Fire Protection Association) PSI
value for the fire suppression system in the jockey duty and stand by pump are maintained to
N.F.P.A 20 standard
• Conduct induction-training exercise for new employees on airfield and midfield zones,
such as ARFF aircraft rescue and firefighting and wildlife mitigation, FOD (Foreign Object
Deposit).
• Ensure all working equipment's are subjected to safety checks, especially the
cranes boom-lifts scaffolding and hand tools, pressure gauges calibrated with certificates
• Ensure international organization standard of European ATEX (atmospheric
explosives) of ATEX95 and ATEX137 requirements' are met for safety purpose, also ensure
LOTO (Log Out Tag Out)
• Ensure PPE (personal protective equipment's) are worn all through during preventive
maintenance PM and corrective maintenance CM
• Ensure PTW permit to work and MOS method of statement are strictly adhered as
required by client with risk assessment.
Give monthly reports to the client (HIA) and proceedings regarding health and safety compliance
and related issues
Inspect facilities and safety equipment for delivering key airport operations functions
including, Airside Operations, Airfield Security, Fire Services, Emergency Planning and Crisis
Management.
• Supervise safety installation, operation of firefighting and fire alarm systems according to
NFPA code
• Communicating with Peers, subordinates and managers while carrying out various safety
inspections and monthly fire drills
• Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and
processing
paperwork as well as encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among
team members.
Participates in the design and implementation of company safety plan.
• Establish and administer site safety procedures associated with construction related activities

closely with the Contractors staff
• Ensure that the documentation generated by the inspections test and survey are complied with
• Carry out regular site inspections of permanent works to ensure that specification and drawings
are in compliance with the requirement

• Supported Maintenance Supervisors in their day-to-day activities by providing Engineering
solutions and to ensure that work processes are implemented as per standards and procedures.
• Assisted in managing the planning, organization and implementation of shutdowns, turnarounds
and emergencies as required.

including process coordination with the technology provider.

of plant specifications.
• Working with designer/drafters to create detailed plumbing, HVAC, process piping, and
water
treatment plans.
• Coordination with subcontractors on detailed design and installation of process tanks and

ethanol plant enhancements and upgrades.

Responsibilities

air compressors, pumps, valves and traps and pipelines. I was also involved in facility installation and
minor repair work such as change of valves, pumps and broken pipes etc.

(PTW) and execution.

of specifications/requisitions/bid evaluations for inlet screens/de-watering equipment, filter
media, HB scrapers, distributors, submersible pumps for storm, sludge transfer etc. Wash
