Goal 1 DESCRIPTION.) Provide general supervision and deployment of Insight Security guards at the access control point, Movcon, Log base and the entre compound of UNMISS with observation and documenting of their accomplishments and failures.

• Ensure that only person who has legitimate business with UNMISS to enter the compound.

• Assist SCO and MSOs with locations and establishing assembly points for the warden system. Be conversant with the locations of all staff residences.
• Ensure proper screening and prevention of all prohibited goods from being carried onto the UN air assets (Fixed wing Air craft or helicopters).
• Only manifested passengers are allowed in the to board UNITAMS flights

Goal 2 DESCRIPTION.
Assist the SCO and Security Officers with the gathering and dissemination of security information also participate in all field missions when requested by the office.


KEY TASKS FOR THIS GOAL

• Identify security threats in the AOR that have bearing to UNSMS and operations, get in contact with local authorities and communities to gather and verify any security information.
• Assists with security road assessments, hotel assessment and security situations in the AOR.
• Participate in escorts of VIP/Delegations’ visits and activities within headquarters and out in the field missions.
• Assists SCO and MSOs in liaison duties as applicable with local agencies:SPF, SAF/Military Intelligence, and local administration.
• Assist with the Monthly returns, emergency drills, within the Camp.
• Daily/Weekly/ Monthly returns be prepared accurately, consistently, and submitted on timely basis
Goal 3 DESCRIPTION.)
Maintain support of all office requirement for the security section and managing of office equipment and documentation.

1: Collect and analyse security and context related information and ensure their appropriate dissemination.
Collection of information.
•Map, create and maintain a network of contacts (UN, NGOs, Civil Society, Govt, authorities, etc.)

•Propose area/region specific security rules for the mission, bases and activities, through an evidence-based and collaborative approach, and by building on both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
•Help the Heads of Bases in the identification of the relevant actors and the building of a solid information network facilitating the security management in their bases.
•In case of incidents, prepare / support the preparation of incident reports and transfer them to the relevant persons in the mission and HQ and ensure their uploading on SIRO.
