Ensured environmental regulatory, corporate and client compliance throughout the project development through; site inspections, audits, environmental awareness training for the site personnel and through KPI tracking. Liaison to the Client and Client's representative for the site. Develop site environmental management plans, review work plans for environmental risk mitigation, hazardous and non hazardous waste management and tracking.
Responsible for the management and oversight of the environmental program for this $1.1-billion project for Imperial Oil Resources Ventures Limited. Responsible for developing and ensuring the site specific Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is being followed and utilized in all field operations. Involved in Incident investigation following TapRoot along with incident reduction planning and tracking through trending and KPIs. Participate weekly in joint environment and safety inspections, observe and intervention program, develop and implement employee recognition programs. Developed environmental program to identify overall company environmental culture. Participate in work plan reviews and risk assessments. Provide Environmental Awareness training. Monthly audits.
Responsible for quality control of the environmental aspects of construction and regulatory compliance in an environmentally sensitive run of river hydro-electric project. Compliance audits. Participate weekly in joint environment and safety inspections, observe and intervention program, employee recognition programs and environmental procedure development. Work jointly with the project monitors.
Maintain regulatory compliance for the daily operations of the coal mine. Conduct all air and water quality monitoring, report preparation and submission, work plan reviews for environmental input, incident investigation and clean up, wildlife tracking and observation recording to determine impact or impact potential. Also liaison with the government during monthly site inspections and work as the point of contact for the local aboriginal residents.
