HES Engineer - Environmental and Regulatory Compliance

Provided HES support for the capital projects (Chevron independent power project, Twin Lakes Estate development project, etc.).
Interfaced between the regulatory agencies and the company on advocacy and regulatory issues.
Coordinated the documentations for obtaining required regulatory permits for projects.
Represented the company at public hearings involving policy and act establishments at the Senate and House of Representatives.
Facilitated the two season for sampling of the Twin Lakes Estate development project as part of the Federal Ministry of Environment’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study and Chevron’s ESHIA studies.
Provided policy and regulatory support for issues relating to the management of the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Software (SANGEA).
Engaged identified stakeholders on having a unified, common flaring data source for regulatory and corporate reporting.
Ensured the consistency and accuracy of the periodic GHG data to Corporation.
Contributed to the success of the development of NMA Greenhouse (GHG) data reporting SOP.

The project was issued both “Letter of Authorization” & “Letter of Approval” having duly submitted the Project Identification Note (PIN) and the Project Design Document (PDD).

Liaised with the office of the designated National Authority in Carbon Emission Reduction Credits through the CDM process.

Senior Operator - Dibi/ Olera Creek Flow Station: Chevron Nigeria Limited.

Responsible for the operations and routine maintenance of RedFox effluent treatment packages.
Carried out repair and calibration of analogue level, pressure and temperature controllers.
Operated gas compression platforms, glycol- based, gas- drying systems and regenerators.
Carried out wellhead surface safety systems checks and also performed holding checks on shut down devices.
Performed water injection operations, rate and well monitoring. Dewatering of new flow lines, lining up of flow lines for well testing and changing of well chokes.
Coordinated the weekly aerial survey of flow lines in conjunction with the PAAN helicopter pilots.
Ensured the commissioning of new wells prior to line up to production.
Coordinated the testing of injection water quality and rates, survey and servicing of water injection flow meters. Supervised the sampling and determination of turbidity using the HACH analyser.
Calibration of Barton flow recorders, Halliburton flow analyzers, maintaining the integrity of process safety equipment and well sampling and testing. Sampling of and testing of effluents to creek. Performed test to determine the quantity of greenhouse gases flared or exhausted.
Performed crane and rigging operations; loading and off-loading of supply barges, containers and waste bins. Manifesting of wastes generated on the platform.
Performed monitoring and optimization of process chemical and biocide injection into process fluids.
Conduction and documentation of facility safety checks and repairs of master control panels and well jacket panels.
Carried out of flow station water injection, gas compressor platform and wellhead surface safety systems checks in compliance with API RP14C guidelines.
