Allianz Popular Asset Management, S.G.I.I.C (APAM), is the Spanish market’s most long-lived Asset Manager, whose first fund was launched on the year 1967.
They key of its strategy is management consistency, diversification and permanent adjustment of its funds to every client, sistematically beating its competitors’ profitability.

Tasks:
As Investment Funds Back-Office Manager, my main duties are:
- Backing all APAM depending commercial network (Banco Popular, Banco Pastor and Targobank, adding a total of more than 11 € billions in funds), solving any fund related fiscal and operational incidence. Our incidence ratio has lowered from 9% to 2% of a 5% goal.
- New will execution procedure implementation, for an easier, more agile fiscal management. Due to this new procedure, customer complaints have dropped to a new bottom of a 3, 2%. This data means a huge step forward for our commercial network, as will executions are considered a critical operative for the medium-term growth of our market share, being heirs an important target market where loyalty must be increased.
- Institutional embargoes and credit pledges. Daily tracking and responding institutional and regional agencies for an accurate, early response. Penalties from the administration have been abolished since new tracking method applied.

Securities Services Settlement Technician at Cecabank

Cecabank is a financial institution specialised in securities services, covering the whole value chain and all post-negotiation processes for all types of securities and currencies, from clearing and settlement, to custody and IIC and pension fund depositary. Currently custoding more than 85 € billions from more than a 1.000 IIC’s.

Tasks:
As a member of the International Section of the Settlement Department, my main duties are:
- Ensuring all Cecabank clients’ (Banks, Pension Funds, SGIIC, ..) orders successfully reach the market, keeping track of the whole procedure until its correct settlement and subsequent communication.
- Free of payment and against payment settlement of variable and fix income securities
- Daily interaction with our global custodians (Citibank, BNP Paribas and Euroclear).
- Subscribing and redeeming funds through our Hedge Fund Labels (FundSettle and Allfunds).for our clients portfolio and daily funds transfer via Swift payment, daily managing a daily average of more than 200 € mm.
- All the above to be succesfully performed requires a wide market-chain process knowledge, multi-tasking performance and great attention to detail.
