Emergency nurse that specialize in assessing, intervening and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
Assigned as ER nurse to quickly assess the needs of each patient, prioritize care based on its critical nature, and work to stabilize a patient, treat the problem, discharge the patient after the emergency is over or make arrangements for a longer hospital stay.
Utilized the nursing processes; assessed, planned, provided and evaluated nursing care based on staff and patient interviews.

Administers medications as assigned; serves as a resource person for knowledge of medication uses, side effects, and dosage; checks for proper medication order; documents medications; obtains required consent forms to administer immunizations; notifies pharmacies of physician approved prescriptions; reviews drug samples to insure they have not exceeded the expiration date; labels sample drugs and educates patients of medication administration.
