TASKS EXECUTED
The following tasks has been executed in India and at many oversea locations.
Non Destructive Testing: Well hands on experience with NDT methods like UT,
MPT, PT ECT and EMI. Inspected and witnessed drilling tools,
weld joints, wall thickness by UT with these techniques.
Drilling & DD Equipments: Inspection (Visual, NDT & Dimensional) performed DS-1
on Drill Pipe, Drill Collars, HWDP, Subs, geo pilot, mud motor at
many clients site. Witnessed inspections being performed by the
inspection companies at Halliburton, Schlumberger, Weatherford
Baker Hughes.
Casing & Tubing: Inspection performed & witnessed as per API 5CT and API RP
5A5 specs, which includes physical verification of OD and ID
coating condition, storage facilities, end connection protection,
through length drift passing, visual thread inspection, MPI (Black
light on end connections), application of thread compound
followed by installation of thread protectors.

Cementing Equipments: Physically verify the cleaning procedure, physically verify the
condition of connection, application of BAKERLOK. Witnessed
makeup of casing with float collars, float shoes, also witnessed
drift passing before and after makeup. Review the makeup graph
to make sure all the required parameters are achieved. Installation
of centralizers on the casings.
Wellhead & Christmas tree: (Subsea & Surface): Witness functions of hydraulic,
pneumatic, and electric winches, electric or hydraulic motors,
hydraulic rams/cylinders, rack and pinion drives, gearboxes and
various other types of transmission devices, casing head, casing
and tubing spools, wear busing. Witnessed (Manual and
Automatic Xmas tree) function of response closing time of valves.
Functions of lower and upper master valves, Flow wing valve,
Kill wing valve and Swab Valve. Review QA documents related
to Xmas Tree. Review documents of various inspection like
mechanical testing, chemical composition, WPS’s, PQR’s,
PWHT, Non Destructive testing, pressure test, function test lifting
gear proof loading inspection reports as per API 6A and 17 D,
also field inspection and testing procedure as per manufacturer
recommended spec.
Tubular Handling Tools: Inspection performed & witnessed inspections of manual and
hydraulic tongs, slips, slip joint, elevators, bails etc as per OEM’
specs.
Wellbore & Fishing Tools: Inspected fishing tools like junk basket, junk mill magnet,
fishing jar, mill shoe, water melon, casing scraper, riser jet tools,
riser brush tools and many more.
Coil Tubing: Witness the inspection of coil tubing before shipping to the rig
which includes, wall thickness, OD and length, real time testing by
using Magnetic Flux leakage sensors, Eddy current probes.
Load Out: Once the tools have passed all the required test, load out will be
witnessed. Verifying the documents of CCU’s and its associated
lifting set for its inspection validity, verify condition of the CCU
and lifting set, verify will be carried out as per clients checklist
provided. Then make sure the MGW should not cross the
specified value of CCU. Check the required paper work has been
done properly, if all paper are in order then releases the load.
Others: Attended a classroom seminar on ISO 9001 Quality Management
System held at Bangalore-India in 2013. Also I faced audit as an
auditee couple of times in my previous company.

MWD, LWD, Mud Motar, Liner Hanger Assembling, Bucking etc.

certificate, work instruction, equipments calibration status, equipments calibration
setup. Monitoring the calibration of the equipment followed by the real time
inspection.
* Verify product conformity and full compliance with engineering drawings,
specifications, codes and standards and project contract documents.
* Randomly inspection of Drill Pipes, BHA tools, HWDP, Handling Tools etc. as
per Specs at contractors locations and at offshore rigs.

Current inspection on weld joints, metal segregation, paint coating thickness at
various locations in Goa and Mumbai.
* Performing randomly inspect the weld joint with Eddy Current and UT (shear
wave) Equipment for surface, below surface and through thickness flaws.
* Reviewing documents related to welding like WPS, PQR, welder qualification,
mechanical test (Tensile, Bend, Charpy Impact etc.) witnessing spectrograph for
chemical composition.
* Witness and MPT and DPT on various items like, tubes, pipes and flow lines etc.
* Raising Non Conforms in any the methods are not met with the specific
code/standard.

OCTG/NDT Lead Inspector at Parshuram S. Mahindrakar

Worked as the Lead Inspector for Angola Operation at but not limited to
Schlumberger, Halliburton, Weatherford, Ocean Rig Olympia (Offshore) and
many more.
* Inspection of tubular goods like Drill Pipe, HWDP, Drill Collar, Subs, Kelly,
Stabilizer, drilling specialty tools Fishing tools and Handling tools.
* UT wall thickness, weld inspection by using UT (shear wave) and Eddy Current
equipment.
* Well familiar with NDT methods like MPI, LPI, UT(Shear & compression
Wave) and Eddy Current.
* Inspection been done as per DS-1, API RP-7G2, API RP-7L, 8B, 5CT, 5A5.

QA/QC related work at Halliburton Energy Services & Baker Hughes and other
vendors at Labuan-Malaysia.
Principal Duties:
* Review the inspection test procedures, inspectors certifications, vision certificates,
equipment calibration certificate and equipment performance and HSE documents.
* Witnessing NDT inspection and dimensional inspection of subs, drill collars, drill pipes,
jars, mud motors, drilling specialty tools, handling tools, MWD/LDW tools
