Working as a Quantity Surveyor for the ‘Oman National Museum Project’ for ‘Ministry of Heritage and Culture’.
Construction 10, 000m2 concrete frame over 3 main buildings with colonnade extension to single story cafe building with associated external works and landscaping. Including all MEP, Internal finishes and management of client exhibition contractor. Estimated Project value is R.O. 20, 000, 000.00 including variations.
Working as the Quantity Surveyor for the above project I am currently involved in Preparing Interim Payment Applications, Certifying of Sub-Contractors Interim Valuation and Preparation of Sub-Contractor Payment Certificates, Preparation of Sub Contract Work Orders and Agreements, Claim Preparation and Negotiation with Consultants and Sub-Contractors, Preparation and valuing of Variation, Contract Administration, Project Financial Reporting, Taking part in Progress Review Meetings.

• After completion of my Degree in UK I have been employed in Cost Consultancy
Services (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka as Project Quantity Surveyor for "Proposed 180 Room
Negombo Beach Resort Project‟
• I worked on this project by myself as the Project QS from Inception stage/Tender Stage to the
Construction Stage, as the construction has been started in June 2012 I also worked at the consultant‟s site office as a member of the consultancy team representing the position of
Project QS.
• During my period of employment I participated in every Project meetings as a Project QS, conducted in every week at Client‟s Office, also i have participated in Pre-Bid Meetings and
Tender Negotiation Meetings during my career as a QS. I also involved in Preparation of Preliminary Estimates, Cost Plan, Bill of Quantities, Checking monthly bills and preparation of monthly payment certificates, Processing Variation Claims.
• As the Architect of this particular Project is a Malaysian Organisation, I have directly dealt with them during the Pre Construction stage and gained loads of experience working as a
Project QS.
2010-2011 Manchester United Football Club Kiosk Assistant
• Worked on part time basis at MUFC which is one of the biggest Football Clubs in UK, while studying in the University of Salford.
• Performed a customer-facing role at the busy outlet, supervising and motivating teams of up to 10 staff.
• My performance was recognised by the company in June 2010 with an Employee of the Month
award, out of 100 employees.

• Worked as an Assistant QS for the Oman Air Port Project.
Undertook work related to construction industry at both pre and post contract stages (Taking off measurements, Preparing BOQ, handling variations, managing and organising the time) and have gained loads of experience related to consultancy organisation during the pre and post contract stages of a project.
• Also attended to and resolved queries, and involved in dispute resolutions related to the project.
• During my employment I gained valuable experience in planning, organizing and problem
solving.
2006-2008 Unique Engineering (Pvt) Ltd Trainee Quantity Surveyor
As part of the industrial training for my Higher National Diploma, I worked for Unique Engineering (Pvt) Ltd a medium scale construction company in Sri Lanka. For a period of 10 months, I worked in both head office and construction sites. Working in sites I gained considerable experience on every aspects of work related to the construction industry.
