Prior to 2016, Astro Mobile had suffered a major down trend in both market share and profitability resulting in two consecutive years of losses. Reporting to the Founder and CEO this position was challenged with leading the full change management strategy across operations, applications, and commercial deliverance to capture lost market share and profitability. Key achievements include
• Developed and implemented the Sales and Marketing strategy for the organisation that resulted in the organisation becoming a regional player. Instrumental in the opening of the first retail outlets in Zambia and South Africa.
• Opened 8 new shops in different towns thereby increasing sales revenue by 20%
Sakunda Energy is a Zimbabwean Indigenous Petroleum Company operating 90 Service Stations across the Zimbabwean market. Prior to 2009, Sakunda Energy was operating as a family business and wanted to corporatize its operations to become a major player in the Fuel sector. The company recruited me whilst I was working in Botswana to head their retail unit.
Designed and implemented the Company Owned and Operated sites strategy. The key highlights
• Managed 8 company sites across the country with a total workforce of 102 members and increased sales by 58%
• Designed and implemented the site stock management system, product receiving, and cash handling procedures that reduced site stock losses by 85%.
• Increased franchisee sites from 20 in 2009 to 53 in November 2011
• Negotiated and signed 25 franchise contracts with dealers
