New Lime Plant - Recapitalization Project
* Carries out repairs, maintenance and additional installation works on the new plant
equipment at the Vertical kiln, Hydrating, Quick lime / crushing & screening and
Coal grinding plants all of which are under SCADA system.
* Offered technical assistance and carried out supervisory role to contractors as a Site
Electrical Technician assigned by the company during construction / installation of new
equipment and commissioning of the whole new plant.
* Worked as Acting Electrical Foreman during the installation and commissioning of
the new automated Lime plant and supervised contractors who worked on
the same Recapitalization project.
* Had been involved in the routine maintenance of the old Lime plant as well as attending
to breakdowns in accordance with the Maintenance Management system before being
transferred to the Recapitalizaion Project.
2010 - 2012 : CNMC - Luanshya Copper Mines
Electrician - Baluba Hoists
* Was involved in the upgrade and installation of new winder equipment for Baluba
Rock and Man Hoists under Modernization project for the Copper Mine.
* Was involved in the installation and commissioning of underground and surface
communication and monitoring systems such as indication / signaling panels & cameras.
* Carried out daily inspections, weekly maintenance and repaired defects on all winder
associated equipment such as Transformers, A.C - D.C Converters, D.C Motors, Plcs,
Brake & Gear Lubrication motors and control panels.
* Carried out scheduled inspections and service on underground ventilation fans.
* Implemented laid down safety regulations / acts at place of work through PEP/ safety talk.
Power Distribution & Metallurgical plant
* Worked as part of the team that completed the construction & commissioning of the
33kv / 11kv Munali main substation.
* Capable of handling High Voltage power distribution systems, H.T underground cables,
Overhead lines and highly conversant with the electrical safety aspect of it.
* Was authorized to handle 11kv under Munali Nickel Mine, to carry out switching,
isolations & linking operations.
* Carried out installations & maintenance of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), PLCs
Has full working knowledge on the SCADAs. Crushers, Mills, MCCs and switchgears
* Carried out maintenance and repair works at both Mine Site camp and residential areas.
Was involved in the construction of the 33kv/11kv main electrical substation and
construction of other sections of the cement plant.
* Carried out electrical installations of motors, control panel wiring and laying of cables
* Worked on Soft starters, Star- Delta, Direct on Line & Forward Reverse starters
and carried out routine physical inspections of the plant equipment.
* Undertook repair works at the crusher plant as well as Gen-sets, Welding machines
Transformer & Mini-sub Rebuilding workshop) and Transformco, Ndola.
* Repaired / Refurbished & serviced Distribution and Power transformers up to 4Mva.
