Maintenance engineering on UPS and emergency lighting systems.

To repair electrical/mechanical faults within a specified response time in accordance with client contracts (including acquirement of maintenance spares).
Carry out the configuration & the re-programming of Siemens and third party intelligent traffic control systems (ITS) to customer and traffic regulation specifications.
Carry out on-site pre-planned maintenance, including electrical testing on ITS (LV/ELV circuits), above ground, loop induction and overhead detection equipment, variable message signs and speed discrimination signs.
Electrical Installation and de-commissioning of Intelligent traffic control systems and site acceptance testing (SAT) of ITS.
Liaise with customers & sub-contractors daily with contract/project issues and to provide solutions and deliver results.
Provide emergency out-of-hours cover to customers.
Provide technical support to customers as and when required.
I am responsible for my personal “live” working time bookings through PDA, stock management, achieving monthly key performance indicators by achieving productivity and utilisation targets. Experience of major projects and infrastructure upgrading.

Duties included: Working in a leisure/tenpin bowling centre I was responsible for the facilities of the building and also the mechanical and electrical repairs to the tenpin bowling machines.
I was also in charge of risk management for the centre and was health and safety officer, also during my time introduced a pre-planned maintenance schedule to the technical department.
I also spent time in the British Army with the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders regiment (infantry) as a radio operator & on leaving I spent around 3 years working self-employed as part of a squad as a electricians mate sub-contracting around the UK, mainly working on industrial plant shutdowns.
