Al Khor Expressway project includes construction of 8 lanes highway along with interchanges, and wet/dry utilities. The project is of critical importance as this highway links two major cities of Qatar, Lusail and Al-Khor. Micro-tunneling had been selected as a method of constructing storm water drainage system so as to avoid Environmental impact on the concerned area

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Ensuring jacking and receiving shafts are as per the dimensions mentioned in approved drawing
 Construction of ground water infiltration control system which included Secant piles and Shot Crete for shafts
 Ensure standard detail drawings and site work were as per the Project requirements
 Setting out and tracking the day to day progress of Micro-tunneling works, Drainage and TSE
 Installation of precast shaft elements and hydro vortex system
 Checking the Quality parameters with respect to the concrete
Document completed works; review method statements issued by contractor and be responsible for overall quality of the project
 Assure Construction in accordance with the stipulated Standards
 Responsible for maintaining overall Quality assurance and Control of the Project
 Guide, Supervise, Measure and document all the site activities for claims
 Ensure project close out by compiling all the necessary documents and to client’s satisfaction

Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan and supervise Quality inspectors
Conduct project quality meetings in order to control and resolve critical issues.
Extending technical support for procurement and other departments.
Coordinates with Quality Control Manager, Construction & 3rd party consultants on quality control matters
Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and Site Instruction.
Monitoring projects with respect to standards, specification and ensure timely execution of projects.
Compiles daily concrete request and issues daily concrete order / coordinates with the batching plant to ensure the correct grade / type of concrete is delivered on time to the correct location
Issues laboratory test requests and coordinates required testing by approved materials testing laboratory
Performs inspections and attends factory acceptance tests at offsite production facilities as required. Coordinates and performs receiving inspections of general materials
Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations.
Coordinates and performs receiving inspection of concrete. Arranges for concrete mix trial including testing of constituent materials, fresh & hardened concrete testing.
Witnesses sampling & testing of fresh concrete. Coordinates and witnesses testing of concrete test cubes. Checks concrete pouring records are correct against concrete batching records and delivery notes. Updates register of concrete pouring records / summary
 Providing site team with the required training and update new work/product by conducting mock-up in order to meet the project schedule and planned progress milestones.
 Carry out Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP.
 Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report.
 Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and competed

 Manage. Quality Control and Inspection procedure for the infrastructure, Villas and District cooling pipe works project.
 Inspection of material’s quality and supplies used for the construction activities, earthworks, Utility works, steal and pavement works.
 Monitoring all production of materials and raises non-conformances where applicable.
 Ensuring that the method of testing material is in accordance with the latest international standards.
 Review and comments the Contractor’s documents such as Villas construction materials, Method of Statement, Inspection and Test plan, Quality Manual, Project Quality plan.
 Maintaining project inspection records and Non-conformances reports, Follow-up on corrective action and close out.
 Review and comments As-built drawings.
 Participating in Managing and performing internal audit program of the company.
 Ensuring that QA related issues area solved in efficient way and economically.
 Generating related reports and following up on completion of deficiencies raised during the inspection, following up the quality of construction work and reporting the findings to the service manager and responsible for ensuring close communication with the site management and subcontractors. Monitor site operations by systematic inspection and testing, keyed to construction schedule and sequence of activities.

 Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC plan
 Implement the QA/QC management system at Msheireb Station
 Perform daily field inspections of works as per approved inspection & test plan.
 Coordinates with Quality Control Manager, Construction & 3rd party consultants on quality control matters
 Monitoring, tracking and closure of NCR’s, Qatar rail/Employers personnel’s NNC’s and surveillance reports.
 Prepares and submits Inspection Request forms to Qatar Rail/Employer’s Personnel
 Compiles daily concrete request and issues daily concrete order / coordinates with the batching plant to ensure the correct grade / type of concrete is delivered on time to the correct location

 Monitors correct storage of materials in designated storage area / yard. Coordinates and performs receiving inspection of reinforcement bar
 Coordinates and performs receiving inspection of concrete. Arranges for concrete mix trial including testing of constituent materials, fresh & hardened concrete testing.
 Witnesses sampling & testing of fresh concrete. Coordinates and witnesses testing of concrete test cubes. Checks concrete pouring records are correct against concrete batching records and delivery notes. Updates register of concrete pouring records / summary Updates statistical analysis of concrete test cubes. Updates quality control registers on a daily basis. Reports nonconformance on works and materials and monitors status and close out of nonconforming permanent works
 Prepares information for QC related sections of the Client Monthly Report
 Prepare QC inspectors monthly duty schedule for Msheireb Station.

My responsibilty is to ensure the all work is completed in accordance with the company policies, safety, quality and procedure at all times.
