As Site Operations Manager, I lead all construction efforts related to mid-rise new building construction projects right from
mobilization until final handover during my tenure with this organization.
Some of my key responsibilities are:
* Study all contract documentation of awarded projects and gather all construction permits in order to commence site execution.
* Plan and supervise the execution of all mobilization activities of project's site works.
* Carry out daily site walkthroughs to observe, evaluate and control the ongoing construction efforts and logical sequence.
* Negotiate or persuade client, consultant, subcontractors and other key stakeholders to resolve critical issues in time and keep
project's progress on track as planned. Brainstorm ideas to improve standard execution processes and working methods.
* Strictly monitor compliance of Organization’s Project Delivery System (PDS). Escalate any deviations or violations to top
management for timely actions and resolution.
* Assist procurement team in developing contractual documents for procurement of key resources and subcontractors.
* Evaluate the performance of sub-contractors and vendors. Submit the evaluation report to higher management and follow up
for any critical issue resolution.
* Ensure fulfilment of all contractual obligations. Compile final project closure documentation including lessons learned files.
* Manage the site team completing de-snagging activities for timely rectification of defects. Follow up Project Consultant and
other relevant authorities to receive Taking Over Certificate (TOC) and Final Completion Certificate (FCC).

As Sr. Project Engineer, I supervised all site operations related to mid-rise new building construction projects as well as medium to large-scale modification and refurbishment works during the tenure with this organization.

Some of my key responsibilities are:

• Assist scheduling Team during project's initial planning stage to finalize Project's master construction schedules and work programs using Primavera P6.
• Plan and control the sequence of site execution of construction efforts especially all structural and finishing works. Monitor the compliance to agreed quality standards and processes. Ensure all ongoing works comply with agreed HSE practices.
• Periodically gather workers productivity data and prepare productivity report for further analysis and comparison.
• Recognize & resolve technical site issues in order to ascertain uninterrupted construction works.
• Liaise with Project Architect, Consultant to receive timely approval for shop drawings, method statements and all key construction trade related materials.
• Follow up with procurement team for timely delivery of materials and other resources as planned in project's execution plan. Escalate any delay to higher authorities.
• Coordinate with MEP and other trades for smooth work progress and tackle the conflicts of interests with other trades in time.
• Assist Project Manager and other superiors in preparation of monthly project progress report by providing updated site data.
• Prepare analysis of project's ongoing progress comparison with cost, schedule and quality baselines. Escalate any critical slippages to higher authorities and follow up for timely resolution.

Some of my key responsibilities related to modification and refurbishment projects :

• Coordinate with Client’s Representatives to extract, understand, unify and formalize requirements related to modification and refurbishment works. Carry out site surveys to explore the extent of constructability of client’s requirements at site.
• Prepare schematic drawings, initial WBS and BoQ to accustom Client with ball park figure of project’s budget. Prepare a separate schedule listing out any omitted requirements from original Client’s requirements pool. Provide detailed explanation behind omitting the listed requirements.
• Liaise with Client’s business analyst for approval of finalized detailed WBS & BoQ for modification and refurbishment works.
• Oversee the actual construction operations at site related to modification and refurbishment works by paying short site visits.
