-Prepare BOQ (bill of quantity) for each project base on the costing made by estimator
-Prepare / check shop drawing done by draftsman.
-Check and ensure that all shop drawings for approval are within the tolerable quantity of the costing.
-Inform sales immediately if there are necessary items needed in the project which are not included in the costing.
-Prepare Costing/estimation whenever necessary especially for big projects.
-Coordinate with sales and client or raise RFI (Request For Information) whenever necessary to clarify all the needed details of the project.
-Check / issue work order of all needed material to production to complete project.
-Attend client meeting to address all technical issue being brought up by client.
-Check all tender documents, specification and standards required by client and ensure that we comply on it by using the correct materials.
-Visit site as required to check if everything are done based on design or approved drawing
•Machining Acting Supervisor
-Plan / schedule the workload of the group ( Machining, Tool Assembly and QIT ) and make sure that all activity comply with the safety standards
-Analyze all incoming shop drawing and study how to fabricate it using available machine (CNC mill and lathe, conventional mill and lathe, surface grinder, boring machine, auto flame cutter and band saw)
-Ensure that all tools such as drill bit, insert, end mills etc. are available to ensure smooth machining operation
-Facilitate group meeting to update accomplishment and report it to the department heads.
-Prepare group yearly plan /target and necessary budget to attain it
•Tools and Jig Design
-Prepare Concept study and Project Proposal to acquire needed budget
-Conduct site inspection (production line) to gather necessary data/dimensions before starting design
-Produce 3D design (using CATIA and Inventor) according to the data gathered and available resources such as cylinders, sensor, plate etc.
-Provide 2D drawing (using AutoCAD, CATIA and Inventor) and Bill of Materials for machining and fabrication purposes
-Prepare PR ( purchase request ) of all the needed materials and tooling
-Monitor the progress of the project from machining to trial and turnover to end user
-Coordinate with all concerned group to facilitate smooth project turnover
-Provide technical support with Tool and Jig Maintenance thru troubleshooting (when equipment breakdown occur) and by conducting basic technical seminar such as Basic Pneumatics, Electro-Pneumatics and Basic PLC.
-Coordinate with Toyota accredited dealer to improve their Express Maintenance process
•Quality Improvement Team Support
-Analyze the Tool and Jig Accuracy to improve the quality of car body like Vios and Innova model
-Adjust Tool & Jig and confirm the effect using FARO arm ( Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine)
-Maintain shell body accuracy thru regular tool and jig maintenance
-Analyze quality related feedback from sales/marketing and production, then plan the need adjustment on production tooling/equipment.
•Hardware commissioning (Testing of electrical equipment such as motor for fans and blower, heater, sensor, PLC etc)
•Supervise and check all connections with respect to electrical diagram.
•Monitor first few months of operation of the newly commissioned line and attend to all electrical maintenance activities.
• Supervise and provide support to technician in performing preventive maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of machines such as ULTRASONIC WELDING MACHINE, INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE, AUTOMATIC CRIMPING MACHINE, CRAMPING MACHINE and FFC / DUMMY CABLE CUTTER.
• Design jigs that will improve the productivity and quality.
• Coordinate with outside supplier to facilitate the fabrication of all jigs design.
• Control all the machine spare parts to ensure continuous production and enough spare parts whenever machine breakdown happen
•Prepare predictive maintenance procedure.
•Initiate corrective and preventive actions to control common and special variations in the line.
•Attend meeting with the top management and discuss all the corrective action done by the department regarding downtime and other losses.
•Prepare and initiate production’s work instruction and procedure.
•Facilitate training on all production worker whenever there are new product or new work procedure.
