Working as an Electrical QA/QC Supervisor for construction of a 2000MW power plant combines cycle, Duties and responsibilities as follows:
Nature of Works
Construction of a 2000 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant comprising of six (6) General Electric (GE) Combustion Turbines Generators, two (2) General Electric (GE) Steam Turbines Generators, and four (4) HRSGs associated equipment and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment. Erection/installation of six (6) Areva Generator Circuit Breakers (GCB’s0, Alstom Isolated Phase Bus Ducts (IPB’s), eight (8) HHI Generator Step-Up Transformer (GSUT) rated at 260/390MVA, 15.75KV/220KV GSUT’s for six (6) gas turbine and 330/495MVA, 17KV/220KVGSUT’s for two steam turbine, Stationary Auxiliary Transformer (SAT), fifteen (15) Emirates Station service Transformer (SST) rated at 6.9KV/420V 2.5MVA, eight (8)ABB 400V LV SWGR and MCC, eight (8) ABB 7.2KV MV SWGR. Gutor DC system to include two battery chargers, 125V battery bank and battery racks. UPS system to include batteries and racks, bypass transformer and associated DB’s
Duties and responsibilities as follows:
• Act as focal point for specific multi - discipline inspection package: working with engineers in coordinating the activities of all relevant project personnel and third parties in line to inspection ensuring work is executed safely and on time
• Provide assistance in coordination with construction superidant and resident engineer on clarification and/ or explanation on drawings and specifications. Where required, propose alternate solutions to problems encountered in the field of agreement by the engineering and design
• Review and / or preparation of Method Statement (including risk assessment and job hazard analysis) and ITP’s for electrical and instrumentation works in line to approved vendors / manufacturer drawing instruction and project specification
