• Review the tender & IFC drawing and discrepancies to PM/RE/Sr Architect of the project. Reports & identifies constructability issues and provide clarification to RFI raised by contractor with proposed solutions.
• Reviews and comments on contractors’ submittals; materials, shop drawings, record drawings and as-built drawings, method statements, ITPs and O&M manual as per contract documents.
• Review and provide comments on the baseline and other programme of works including schedule of submission of the project.
• Attends factory visits and witness 3rd party test as directed by PM.
• Attends inspection request in the same day and whenever possible) and immediately released.
• Assist QS in monthly payment certification.
• Assist PM & QS in drafting related Site Work Instruction.
• Assist PM/RE/Sr trade discipline in coordinating with the design team when required especially for confirming RFI responses.
• Prepares weekly or monthly work reports to be provided to PM.
• Actively participate in technical and progress meetings as requested by PM/RE.
• Supervise and coordinate various aspects of project construction activities including inspections, mock-ups, document submittal reviews (ITP, MS, MAS, PRQ) and shop drawings specified and in accordance within project specification.
• Monitor and check the contractor’s site activities related to Architectural & Interior works on daily basis and ensure compliance with project standard and contractual specifications.
• Monitoring the protocols for non-conformance, inspection logs and the closure of the same.
• Prepares site observation reports / snag list for finished works.
• Advice on any architectural problems, issues and deficiencies identified to the Senior Architect in a timely manner.
• Attends QA/QC weekly site walks & coordination meetings, discussing site & design issues that needs to be highlighted & addressed.
• Prepares & coordinate the weekly progress reports for Architectural & Interior works.
• Participate in providing input related to Architectural / Interior works for PM’s weekly construction update reports verifying works done during the week and work in progress.
• Provide feedback to resident Engineer regarding the completion of all outstanding Architectural works by the contractor.
• Assist Quantity Surveyor and Planning Engineers in determining the amount of completed works for the evaluation of contractor’s payment certificates.
• Assisting the Construction Manager in the management and administration of various construction contract packages.
• Reviewing the contractor’s progress at all times.
• Monitoring the work performed, the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor’s manpower, equipment and report.
• Observing the safety procedures followed by the contractor.
• Attending weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held at the sites as required.
• Identifying constraints and recommend corrective measures.
• Undertaking overview supervision duties on site to ensure general compliance of the works with specification and contract requirements and when necessary cause to address deficiencies associated with the same.
• Coordinating all aspects of submittals, review and approvals against contract requirements and when applicable report and advice on deviations from the same.
• Coordinating as may be required with client on all specialist participation related to the final acceptance of the works in readiness for fit-out and operation of the project.
• Assisting client in all aspects of the final acceptance of the work and close-out of all applicable contracts related to the same.
• Conduct site inspection and reviews architectural installation to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
• Conducts and provides mock up reports for Architectural finishing works prior to issuance to Client for their final review and approval.
• Coordinate architectural installations and other associated construction relating to architecture and interdisciplinary activities on the project.
• Directly reports to Resident Engineer technical issues that affect the ongoing site works.
• Reviews shop drawings, RFI, method statements and inspection test procedures.
• Coordinates with Planning & Quantity Surveyors concerning the daily and weekly site work progress in relation to the projected schedule
• Attends QA/QC construction meetings to identify and report on possible design issues that may impact ongoing construction.
• Ensure that the architect’s design is delivered by the contractor and is responsible for dealing with any on-site design problems that arise.
• Directly reports to Project manager technical issues that affect the ongoing site works.
• Raised technical queries to design problems that exist with the IFC drawings.
• Attends meetings with design team and coordinates with all disciplines involved in projects (architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical, ID and landscaping).
• Directly manages and supervises Architectural and Interior Design department and directly involves in preparation of shop drawings using CAD software.
• Responsible in checking and reviewing shop drawings and material submittals.
• Conducts inspection and drawing reviews for Mock up items such as wall claddings, ceiling & tiling works, painting works, cladding works, glass & glazing items prior to consultant’s approval.
• Reviews MEP coordination drawings and suppliers / sub-contractors shop drawings.
• Reviews and coordinates site inspection request prior to submittal to consultants.
• Conduct site inspection for closing-out of FIR & NCR and for closing out of As-Built drawings.
• Responsible in directing, implementing and supervising the works of subcontractors.
• Coordinate with designer and other trade contractor regarding conflict of plans and specification during the project implementation.
• Attend coordination - technical meeting with designers, owner representatives, site project manager contractor and other trade contractor.
