Established initially to provide Health & Safety & Quality assurance training and consultancy to a wide variety of multinational companies and state agencies both nationally and internationally. To date I have worked with over 300 organisations. In 2012 we rebranded forming the Alcam Group.
- Grown the company on average 12% per annum since 2001. In 2012 I designed and developed our 5 year strategic plan.
- Successfully negotiated the incorporation of ProCert Ireland with a Swiss/ Belgium company in 2013. ProCert are a world leader in ISO accreditation.
- Currently developing strategic partnerships in the Saudi, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Dubai and African Markets.
- Attend an as expert witness in Food and Health and Safety court cases.
-The Alcam Group are members of the UN Food Safety Expert Group operating out of the UN office in Trieste in northern Italy. The group is chartered with looking at the global issues of food security against a background of
• environmental degradation,
• climate change and
• ‘peak oil’ production, where petroleum dependent production and distribution systems are economically challenged
- From a zero position established commercially successful relationships with six new clients (Potential for 200k sales generation over following year).
- Successfully guided 2 companies through the development of their 5 year Strategic Business Plans.
- Worked with Senior Managers in a coaching mentoring role.
- Increased the line efficiency of the Salts Department over a 2 year period from 52% to 86%.
- Part of a successful management team who negotiated with the Union during a time of rapid change in the company.
- Member of a select team of 5 tasked with Business process Re-engineering the entire Cork Process and provide a blue print for the establishment of a true Supply Chain Management system. In 1998 Pepsi Cola Cork won an award for supply chain management.
- Designed and implemented a Supply Chain KPI measuring system, incorporating Lean manufacturing and 5’s (Manufacturing & Warehouse 2000), across 5 international concentrate sites.
- Remotely managed the Health & Safety and Environmental agenda with the remit of driving the agenda for the 5 concentrate plants.
- Project managed the creation of a Production Forecasting system that connected to the AS400 and reduced forecasting errors by 20% in its first year of operation.
- Sourced, created the capex and project managed the installation of 5 new concentrate liquid filling lines in Cork.
In 1998 successfully managed the implementation of ISO14001 in the Cork Plant. At the time Cork was one of ten companies in Ireland to have received the award.
-Project managed the building of a bottling plant in western Poland, within budget and within the 11 month fast track time frame.
- Responsible for Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, Health & Safety and Budgetary Control.
- Increased line efficiencies from 70% to 82% through the development of a production capacity model.
- Part of a plant manager’s team used to help design a new Almarai Super plant.
- Project managed the implementation of ISO9001 in the Al Kharj plant.
- Responsible for the Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety & Environmental for the Pizza and Confectionary Departments.
-Consistently increased line efficiencies annually in what was a very labour intensive production operation. 120 operatives spread over 7 production lines.
- Involved in the product development and successful product launch of new products to the market for Marks and Spencer, Waitrose and Tesco’s.
- Coordinated the implementation of ISO9001 within the production facility
