Checking the serviceability of all ramp equipment, high loaders, conveyor belts,
tow tags water and refuse bowsers, passenger aid units, motorized stairs etc
Loading of all wide body and narrow body aircraft as per loading instructions
Liaising with the load control regard any changes made to loading before takeoff.
Preparation of flight documents e.g. general declaration cargo and passenger manifest
Handling DGR on ramp and advising cargo of any changes.
Reporting any incidents and accidents.
Have an extreme understanding of locks and locking combinations,
Understand the full aircraft ramp handling
Leading the allocated staff and managing the equipment.
Overseeing the safe arrival and on- time departure activities (on-loading, off-loading and ground support) of the aircraft on the ramp.
Overseeing the accurate processing, storage and dispatch of both inbound and outbound Baggage, Cargo, Mail, Courier, and /or ULDs (Unit Load Devices).
Liaising with all departments and sections where required.
Ensuring that any loading deviation is authorised by the dispatcher or load controller before release of the aircraft.
Assist the Cargo Duty Manager in monitoring and organizing all activities within the cargo terminal
Attending to queries from customers & ensure reliable customer service delivery
Initiate awareness among staff members regarding company’s policies and procedures with regards to the safety and security measures.
Develop professional relationship with internal and external customer to ensure effective cargo operations.
Ensure the appropriate standards of safety and security are achieved with corporate requirements, government legislation and international best practice.
Responsible to ensure that all cargo staff adheres to the company policies and procedures, upholding safety and security.
Handle critical issues through liaison with station managers, airport authorities and internal departments to effectively deal with situations.
Assume responsibility for accident investigation, reporting and statistical analysis.
