Key accountabilities:
VMware ESXi 6.5 cluster management with vCentre, performance monitoring, backup/restore of
VMs using Veeam software, minor configuration changes and capacity management.
Remotely monitoring Huawei servers (RH1288 v3, RH2288 v3), SAN storage (Oceanstor 2600
v3) and Service Routers (NE08E, NE20E-S) for health checks and performance issues.
Periodic monitoring Huawei core switches (S6720) and edge switches (S5720) for health checks
and audit processes.
Monitoring application VMs running on Windows Server 2016, CentOS 6/7 and Ubuntu server.
Handle IT requirements and provide solutions for any IT related problem.
Conduct training and technical investigation on failures.
Ensure the team strictly follow all references to technical drawings, signalling schematics,
manuals, procedures and work instructions when performing repair and maintenance work.
Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records of communications system, equipment
performance, work accomplished and other information using IBM Maximo software.
Lead a team of Communications technicians to carry out all levels of preventive and corrective
maintenance, installation and minor modification activities on communication systems covering
Multi-Service Network (MSN), Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), Closed Circuit Television
(CCTV), Passenger Information System (PIS) & Public Address System (PAS), Time Domain
System (TDS), Digital Voice & Video Recording System (DVVR), Intrusion Alarm System
(IAS), On-Board Communication System (OBS) and Operation Control System (OCS).
Responsible for maintaining the full IT setup.
MS Windows Server 2016 administration, active directory management, file/print services and
network security.
Handle IT requirements and provide solutions for any IT related problem.
Manage custom-made real estate management application software.
Record sales transaction from Dubai Land department website for data analysis.
Manage Kaspersky antivirus, check updates and clients security.
Prepare and maintain consistent data backups on multiple locations. Do restores, as needed.
Assist admin team to maintain non-stop operations of DVR and CCTV system.
Handle basic video editing jobs, as needed for property advertising on websites.
Ensure data security through proper authentication and access procedures.
Responsible for deployment, upgrades and maintenance of the entire Alstom ICT Network
according to the guidelines and standards laid by Alstom ITSSC, France.
Each site in the U.A.E had a minimum of 140 network users.
Facilitate the implementation of the Global Service Catalogue in ALSTOM.
Deploying and commissioning of new servers, SAN storage, wireless communication,
copper/fiber network cabling, managing LAN/WAN connectivity and network security.
Manage Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 servers hosted on VMware ESXi 4.x/5.x and vCentre.
Managing Microsoft Exchange 2010 emailing system, liaising with Alstom ITSSC UK.
Handle daily/weekly/monthly backups using Symantec Backup Exec and EMC Avamar.
Manage McAfee Enterprise Antivirus, check updates and clients security.
Prepare and maintain an accurate inventory of all the IT hardware/software and report generation.
Manage software installations through Altiris server and IBM BigFix tools.
Deploy various Windows OS images, updates, software upgradation through BigFix.
Adopt to the security and compliance policies of the company IT guidelines.
Handle ITSM7 tickets created by users through BMC Remedy software.
Deployed, installed and maintained complete Citizen Watches Gulf Co. network of Windows/
Linux/IBM AS400 server and Windows workstations.
Migrated old setup of Windows NT, Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, Proxy Server 2.0,
File & Print Server to Windows 2003 platform.
Windows Server 2000/2003 administration and maintenance of DNS/DHCP/WINS, Active
Directory, file sharing and print servers.
AS/400 + OS/400 administration, RPG/400 programming, DB2/400 database administration.
SUSE/openSUSE Linux administration, maintaining Postfix/Cyrus mail server, Squid Proxy,
Samba file server.
Oracle 10g R2 administration on Windows 2000/2003 Server.
Copy AS/400 data into Oracle 9i/10g, for better data analysis and reporting.
File and print management services, troubleshooting hardware/software issues and other

Troubleshoot networking problems to ensure maximum availability.

Configuring routers, switches, print servers, modems and other networking devices.
3 year full-time Engineering Diploma course.
