Responsible for the entire Finance, Accounting and Administration of the Group and report to the Managing Director and Group Director of Finance and Administration. Lead the financial and operational accounting functions and activities of the group in accordance with appropriate and generally accepted financial management techniques and practices. Participate in developing plans and programs of the group as a strategic partner, and play a leading role in their implementation. Assist GDF, senior management, and subsidiaries in performance measurement and financial analysis, and contribute to driving profitability. Supervise the financial and accounting operations at the subsidiaries in collaboration with the respective Financial Management; ensuring abiding by group policies, procedures, and generally accepted practices. Support the finance staff in the group and at the subsidiary companies in providing on-the-job training, mentoring and leadership. Assisting /supervising Centre Accountants in preparing operating budget, capital budget, fixed expenses budget and the master budget package in consultation with Managing Director. Finalizing the books of accounts for the fiscal year, meeting audit requirements and prepare the audit package for external auditors.
Responsible for accounts and administration and was reporting operationally to General Manager and functionally to the Group Director of Finance and Administration. Prepared annual budget for the company and maintained the books of accounts independently. Prepared the monthly financial report for management. Meet the audit requirements of the company’s administrative functions on routine matters; handled HR/ Personnel affairs.
Held charge of the accounts department and responsible for reporting to the Managing Director and Foreign Collaborator's Office (Germany). Prepared Annual Budget, Profitability & Cash-flow statements. Arranged the yearly planner and allocated duties. Organised Management Reports (MIS) and Financial Reports; prepared half-yearly Balance Sheet and conducted Variance Analysis. Generated cost reports, product wise ratio analysis and analytical reports; handled payroll approval and administration. Supervised Sales invoices, Purchase bills, Receipts/Payment Vouchers, etc. Liased with Reserve Bank of India for federal approvals and with banks, financial institutions for credit/financial facilities. Coordinated with auditors for completion of internal, external & tax audits and managed statutory requirements like: Excise, Sales Tax, Income tax and Provident Fund matters.
Maintained Sales and Purchase registers; made posting to GL, Debtors & Creditors Ledgers. Prepared Accounts Payable Vouchers, JVs, Debit / Credit Notes; handled payment to creditors. Organised trial balance and finalised company accounts; prepared monthly stock statements. Liased/coordinated with company’s banks, auditors, suppliers and customers.
