• Ensure good governance in SCM: Develop Policies and Standard Operating Procedures, oversee the constitution of the SCM three-committee system, and ensure compliance with the Provincial Archive standards.
• Identify and develop new/current suppliers in the region who can meet the cost, quality, and service needs of the business
• Keep up breast with market competitive trends in the region and identify alternative materials or services to mitigate supply risks
• Demand Planning -Consulting with internal stakeholders for their procurements needs and procurement project interventions
• Development of Post Audit strategies to avoid recurrence of findings
• Analyse organizational needs and conduct cost-benefit analysis per the organization's business case for outsourcing/category support (e.g., technology, marketing, legal, facilities, security) and perform vendor risk assessments.
• Manage Administrative activities i.e., Property Management (Infrastructure maintenance), Logistics (warehousing and fleet), Effective Asset Management and disposal, Record Management and IT
• Travel Portfolio Management: Rate negotiations with travel partners and airlines.
• SCM Performance Review against Departmental Service Level Agreements: develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
• Lead Enterprise Supplier Development and stakeholder management: supplier development initiatives, supplier negotiations and supplier performance management
• Maintain SCM registers and direct periodic transactional reviews
• Oversee efficient contract development, contract life cycle management, contract/supplier performance monitoring and evaluation
