• Review the approved drawings & scope of work.
• Review of WPS, PQR, welder Qualification and JCC cards.
• Verification of material; test reports as per client requirements.
• Witnessing Welder performance Qualification Testing (WPQT).
• Prepare the weld map including NDE inspection.
• Random Monitoring of fit up and dimensional checks for piping work as per approved isometric drawing.
• Monitoring welding consumable control, welder qualification and welding activities at fabrication shop and field as per standards which includes ASME Sec-V, ASME Sec XI, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1.
• Monitoring the Welding Activities as per WPS.
• Witness of Mechanical Test tensile test, Hardness test, Impact Toughness Test for Procedure qualification.
• Visual inspection of Weld joints for different materials by different process (TIG, SMAW).
• Witnessing non-destructive testing for weld which involves M.T, P.T, R.T, and U.T.
• Review and interpretation of Radiography films.
• Preparation of daily fit up reports and weld visual inspection reports..
• Interpret/Review NDT reports and maintain all related files and records.
• Monitoring Post weld Heat Treatment Joints.
• Preparation of weekly project weld rejection reports.
