The incumbent, PRADEEP PANDEY, a Civil Engineer with 34 years’ experience is presently working as Dy. General Manager (Civil) with Dangote Industries Limited in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dangote Industries Limited, the biggest industrial conglomerate of Africa is setting up one of the world’s largest oil refinery and fertilizers complex with an investment of 12 Billion USD in an area of 2650 hectares.
I am presently working as a senior member of the project planning, scheduling and implementation team for the fertilizer plant. DIL being the client, the job includes regular liaison with the EPC and PMC consultants on approval of drawings, establishing Tenders/Proposals, vendors prequalification and preparing milestone schedules for civil works in Fertilizer division and looking after the planning and scheduling of all civil and development works to be executed for the fertilizer complex including survey, geo-tech investigation and dredging works. Also, I have completed construction of township complex for Dangote Agro Sacks at Ibese. In addition, the construction, renovation and maintenance of civil works in Agro Sacks plant at Ikeja are also being looked after and coordinated by the incumbent.

Looking after all civil construction and maintenance works in Factory area broadly :
1. Management and supervision of overall project execution as per approved design and cost parameters.
2. Provide technical guidance on site whenever and wherever required including resolving critical issues at site.
3. Ensuring meeting deadlines maintaining specified quality and safety standards along with compliance of statutory HSE requirements.
4. Preparation of Specifications, Budget Estimates, Tender documents, Terms and conditions of contracts including tendering upto award of work.
5. Checking and Approval of Construction/working drawings.
6. Implementation of Contract specifications, Quality plans, Procedures, Quality control and liaison with project consultants and other associated departments.
7. Quality control of construction works, Verification of bills and finalization of contracts.
8. Cost management of projects including taking steps for optimizing project costs.
