Key Competencies
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain project files on equipment manufacturer’s technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing up time, and for equipment problems that effect manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance, calibration, and operations organizations.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules, and required spare parts stocking levels.
• Maintain open communication and coordination between Manufacturing, Engineering and Process Development, Quality, and Information Systems departments.
• Coordination and review of maintenance strategies, facility modifications, as well as new construction projects.
• Analysis of process bottlenecks and weaknesses in the process or facility.
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to solving technical problems.
Project Management
Coordinating all project activities, establishing project goals, scope, task assignments and timelines.
Finalizing project documentation sets like functional, technical specifications, design documents, deployment notes and test plans and ensuring adherence by the project team to the set plans.
Obtaining management approval for additional, project budgets, time frames, solution approaches and staffing requirement at each phase of the project.
Implementing quality assurance procedures for commissioning of plant and equipment.
Preparing qualification tests like Installation qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) for plant and machinery.
Coordinating with project consultants for efficient execution of the project.
Maintenance - engineering
Scheduling and implementing preventive maintenance to minimize plant downtime.
Supervising and monitoring operation and maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, purified water plants, air compressors and boilers.
