• Handling activities related to Detailed Engineering, Equipment Sizing, Preparation of Cable Schedules, etc.
• Accountable for preparation of:
o Preparation of SLD (Single Line Diagrams) based on project requirements,
o Preparation of schematic of Generator Neutral Grounding panel including selection and sizing calculation of grounding transformer or grounding resistor as applicable for the system under consideration.
o LA, SC, PT & CT panel & NGR / NGT Panel drawing.
o Generator Relay, Metering, Synchronizing Panel drawings
o DC motor starting panel drawing.
o Power & Control Cable Schedule.
o Load list (Feeder list).
o Preparation of schematic drawing of Synchronizing panel including interlocks necessary to derive safe auto, and manual synchronization with provision for dead bus closing scheme as per the customer specific requirement.
o Preparation & review of engineering specifications.
o Supporting the site engineering team by clarifying the technicalities.
o Preparing engineering sizing calculations like cables sizing, Busbar sizing, NGR/NGT Sizing, battery sizing for DC System, CT & PT sizing.
• Involved in project planning & scheduling activities, document checking and auditing
• Preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations
• Preparation of documents for Basic Engineering Package (BEP), Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
My job was to supervise on the winding specifications like copper size, radial thickness, length and height of dry type transformers. I also supervise the whole assembly of the transformer. Along with these I supervise the tanking process i.e. enclosing the active part in the tank of the transformer.
