Major roles includes Procurement & Tendering for Interior Fit out, FF&E, and Joinery works.
• Once the package is received, checking every documents ready to float for enquiry, Request for proposal has been prepared and sent to bidders to submit their offers.
• Respond to bidder’s RFIs, sending tender Addenda, Clarification etc. Follow up with bidders.
• When the Technical & Commercial Offers are received, Tender opening to be done coordinating with other departments.
• For Technical team to study the offers and recommendation, Tender Evaluation of blank offer is prepared and upload in the system.
• Commercial Evaluation and Tender Analysis is prepared and issue if there any Post Tender Clarifications / Addenda to Bidders to submit their revised offers.
• In conjunction with the recommendation of Technical and also considering the Commercial phase of the bidders, we recommend the Contractor (Nomination / Direct Order) to Higher Management through online system for Approval.
• Coordinating with different departments,
• Preparing Letter of Nomination and Work order and releasing to contractor.
• Major roles includes Estimation & Tendering for Interior Fit out, FF&E, and MEP Fit out works.
• Responsible for studying the tender documents and providing the Chief Estimator with a priced bill of quantities and other tender deliverables for the commercial proposal, as required
• Calculating the most updated Material, labour and plant rates and all other information required for the Commercial proposal.
• Sending enquiries & obtaining quotations from suppliers and Sub contractors with all relevant information required as per the project specifications.
• Verifying / Checking Subcontractor quotes and supplier quotes and liaising as necessary.
• Negotiate and review diligently their offers, Prepare the comparison report for each trade packages.
• Estimating the bills, calculating rates and completing the BOQ using CCS estimation software.
• Proposing Alternatives and VE Options which helps the Client Commercially, Technically and time saving.
• Finalization of Tender with Chief Estimator, Contracts Manager and General Manager.
• Co-ordination with Procurement, preparing packages with Allowable and Target costs.
• Co-coordinating with Site Commercial team for Variation orders, Change requests etc.
• Managing quantity surveyor team ensuring implementation and execution of key activities like quantity surveying, verifying drawings, quantities and calculations.
• Major roles includes Estimating, Planning, Costing, Procurement
• Taking off the quantities from the drawings.
• Preparing B.O. Qs, Cost Budgets, Cost Plans & Value Engineering:
• Preparing detailed schedule and progress reports as per the progress of activities.
• Material raising and follow up for the materials.
• Procurement of materials required for the projects.
• Approving the Material & Subcontractor Quotations, Raising Purchase Orders etc.
• Subcontractor Contract Checking & Evaluation, Final Bill payments etc.
• Preparing Comparison report on Cost Vs Value for the Project
• Preparing report on Staff Monitor, Plant Monitor, Labour Monitor & Preliminary Cost for the Project on Monthly basis.
• Taking off the quantities from the drawings.
• Monitor the Labour Productivity and comparing it with Planned Productivity
• Monitor the Wastage of different Construction materials on weekly basis
• Monitor direct works onsite & develop process to adequately monitor against planning productivity rates
• Coordination between admin dept, site, stores & commercial Department to achieve Proper exchange of Related Details for smooth Functioning & utilize the data to save the cost.
• To Check & control Allocation of Operatives so that the cost is allocated to appropriate WBS.
• Allocation of Materials, Plants, Labours in the Requisitions to appropriate Resource and WBS codes so that the cost is allocated appropriately.
• Monitoring the Drawing Change Register.
• Sub Contractor Payment certification
Taking off the quantities from the drawings.
• Material raising and follow up for the materials.
• With the Project Manger planning of the Projects.
• Tracking of the planned activities for the project and reporting to the Project Manager if there any discrepancies
• Costing of the Project for comparing actual cost with budgeted cost
As a PQS completed one Software Development Building of 209, 500 sft. Now doing another SDB of 211, 000sft.
• Work includes Scheduling, Planning and Tracking of the project according to cost, time and quality.
• Reporting the progress of the project to management and clients.
• Quantity calculation and Material raising for the project and following up of it and ensuring that material reaching on right time.
• Reconciliation of cost and materials.
• Taking the productivity of tradesmen and other workers.
• Sub-Contractors bill checking and payment releasing.
• Controlling Store functions and approving materials received cum inspection chellans.
• Proper interactions with different departments like Purchase, Accounts etc. and solving issues if it is there.
Completed MSc in QS covering major areas such as Quantity surveying, Commercial Management, Contracts & Procurement, Value & Risk Management, Real Estate Valuation, BIM, Construction Technology etc
