Worked on a contractual position and was part of decommission project team to replace the current legacy system with global tool. MIE is the core accounting module used at Societe Generale and has been interfaced with other systems in four geographical regions. During my tenure I have been responsible for the below tasks apart from the production support work
OMNIA and ROCKPORT are systems for both Order management and product set up used by Collective Brands. These systems are used internally to set up the product, creating the orders, allocations, pick release, return and delivery activities which is used in US and Europe. Europe has been migrated to SAP and US migration is still in progress. My responsibility is to provide the day to day maintenance and support work for these systems.

COMPASS is a policy administration system contains modules specifically designed for all processes in the insurance business: underwriting, policy and member maintenance, billing, receivables, issuance of contracts, commissions, member enrollment, valuation and reserves, claims, management reporting, and reinsurance

I have been involved for 26 months in offshore support RSR and FNO applications with technologies Microfocus Cobol. Oracle, Unix and Java from Bangalore. He is the primary contact for RSR application and is responsible for resolving any application issues and to design, develop and implement any new enhancement or project request from the business. RSR is for Repair Service and Return which is basically Order processing application for repaired and returned lucent order items. FNO is a software product from Macorvision which is a License Fulfillment Software for ALU in which he was responsible to design and develop customized License generator Java plugin for new ALU product.

Alcatel-Lucent Project responsibilities:
RSR - Micorfocus Cobol (NetExpress), PL/SQL, Oracle Technologies:
•Analysis and fix all the application issues within the time frame of agreed SLA
•Adhering the quality process of both Capgemini and Alcatel-Lucent as applicable
•Design, Develop and implement new business requirement. (Replace Tradestream with Sorvive and upload data to eSpares systems etc.)
FNO - Java Technologie
•Adhering the quality process of both Capgemini and Alcatel-Lucent as applicable
•Design, Develop and implement new Java wrapper program to customize license generation for newly published Alcatel-Lucent product.

I had been supporting the company’s banking software BMRS installed in various Banks of a number of locations.
BMRS (Bank Master Retail System) is a centralized multi-branch, multi-currency Accounting software which is used to perform wide variety of Banking Functions. The system is used by leading Banking Institutions around the world and some of the clients are Fundacian Bank, Bank of Cajol, Zurich Bank, London, Nigerian Bank and EN Bank Iran.
Functional Enhancement and Modification have been done as and when required by both Internal and External Clients. Some of the projects in which I have been involved are given below.
•Fx Revaluation for EN Bank, Iran :- The Bank wants to determine the unrealized gain to post into its Profit/Loss due to the changes in currency exchange rates. This is because the Bank has external clients where in the transaction involved currencies such as USD and IRR. The API’s were written in COBOL (Pro COBOL) and the invoking UNIX script has been placed as a part of the overnight. After the determination of the Profit/Loss the details are posted into corresponding currency Profit/Loss Account through the transaction posting Interface and the Fx Revaluation for Profit/Loss Report is generated. There were 3 members in the team and my responsibilities were 1) Coding 2) Report Generation 3) Supporting scripts and 4) Preparation of Delivery Documents
•Commission on Non-Cash Credit :- The project was done for AVAL Bank, Ukraine for the enhancement to the Deal Interface(i.e. Transaction Posting API) in BMRS. BMRS allows the user to design the transaction and a Condition may be attached to this transaction. The condition was always evaluated against the main Account of the Deal where in the Bank wanted this evaluation to be done either the main account of the deal or other main Account which are part of this transaction depends on a flag set by the user. This was a single army project and I was responsible for the whole and smooth delivery of this project. Activities included were 1) Impact of Change Analysis 2) Technical Design Document 3) Unit Test Plan 4) Database Change 5) Coding in VB 32 Bit Environment, API Changes in C++, Shared Memory program modification and changes in the Deal Interface and
6) Delivery documentation.
•Reject All Debits : The Project was done for AVAL Bank to facilitate the Bank to reject all the Debit transaction for all Accounts has been marked to do so. There were around 70 programs undergone the modification and we were a 4 members team. My responsibilities included 1) Analysis 2) Coding and 3) Preparation of Unit Test Plans. The project required in depth Analysis of all the programs involved in the Deal posting.
•Intra-Day Minimum Balance : The project was done for EN Bank, Iran to have the functionality of Interest Accrual on the Daily Minimum balance in BMRS. Interest will not be accrued if the minimum balance is below the threshold set and this will continue for a period set by the Bank (i.e. Suspense Period). This project was specific to the region Iran and hence it was decided that core programs should not be modified and the Functionality was provided using the concept USER EXIT. i.e. All the modifications required by the client which are specific to a region henceforth will be implemented using separate plug in DLLs or Libraries which will be loaded dynamically. There were 6 members in our team and my responsibilities were 1) Analysis 2) Coding and 3) Testing.
•Language Independence : The requirement was to make BMRS to support Arabic/Farsi Language. The title of the project was Language Independence in BMRS and this was one of the biggest projects we have worked. The whole system was in 16 Bit environment which required to be modified in a 32 Bit Environment.
There were 30 members in the team and my responsibilities were 1) Coding and 2) Testing.
•E4J is Equation for Java. It is a migration project to the Misys for the product
Equation +. Equation is one of the main products of Misys provided for retail banking solutions. This product is initially developed on AS400 platform which is mid-range systems using the programming language, RPGLE. Now the current vision of Misys is to move the equation from mid-range platform to independent platform.
My role in this project was to handcraft the java codes which were not migrated
Correctly and to verify the SQLs and make the necessary changes in the SQL to ensure that code works correctly and the Oracle tables are updated correctly.
•Asset Management/Skill Metrics : The project was done for Misys (Internal
Requirement) to keep track of all the Project Management activities. There were 3 members in the team and my responsibilities were 1) Design 2) Coding, 3) Installation and 4) Testing. There was one more package developed called Skill Metrics which is used to maintain the Skill set across Misys. This system was later merged with Asset Management.
