As a lead I&C Engineer, responsible for the Instrumentation Progress and meeting project schedule and cost. My core responsibility was to plan and delegate engineering activities to my team to achieve engineering progress and meet client’s satisfaction. Handled Emerson DeltaV CHARMS DCS and Emerson SIS Safety system (SIL3 PLC) engineering and procurement support and other key field instrumentation packages like Tank farm Inventory Monitoring, Custody Flow Meter - Emerson, Flow Orifice and DP Transmitters, Level Transmitters-Radar, Hydrostatic and Vibrionic Level Switches, Gas Detectors for EO/PO detection (PPM & %LEL), Wedge Flow Meter etc. Supervised other field instrumentation packages (MRE, TBA, MRO etc.) like On-Off Valves, Control valves, Safety Relief Valves, Burst Disc, and Mass FM, Vortex FM etc., responsible for Purchase requisitions and Vendor Drawings review. Inter-discipline co-ordination, review of P&IDs, Mechanical package drawings and documents, Electrical Layouts and Piping Isometrics, attend client meetings and discussions and progress reports, site surveys etc. Represented I&C for 3D model review at all three stages of completion (30, 60 and 90% model review) with client.
Provided inputs to 2D designer for key deliverables like Instrument Index, DCS/SIS IO list, Pneumatic and Process Hook-ups, Cable schedule and JB Termination drawings, Instrument Air Manifold Schedule, Control room layouts, Instrument Location and Cable Tray Routing layouts etc.
Co-ordination with the control system vendor Emerson-Singapore for all required design inputs required for system engineering and design, review of key vendor drawings like DCS and SIS Cabinet GA drawings, FDS, IO Allocations, IO termination drawing for DCS and SIS, Loop drawings, third party interface, Overall System Architecture, etc. Attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at Emerson Singapore for DCS and SIS.
Scope/Description: Design engineering jobs for the client Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd (Oxy) for offshore Platforms / flow line.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for conducting site surveys at offshore well head jackets, survey report, layout engineering, co-ordinating with designers & giving all inputs for making design package & delivering the drawing package to the client in time. Also, inter-disciplinary activities like IDC for P&ID, piping layouts, kick-off meetings, P&ID review meetings etc.
I was deputed (Jan ’09 to Mar ‘09) to CTJV (Chiyoda Technip Joint Venture) assisting for commissioning activities at site for Rasgas train 6 & 7.
