• Ensuring all the health and safety statutory and contractual requirements are identified.
• Monitoring the employees and all sub-contractors for HSE compliance to all regulatory and project requirements on a day-to-day basis.
• Mentoring a team of 45nos of Safety personnel and enhancing the Skill / Knowledge and the performance, Monitoring safety performance of site activities
• Planning, organizing and conducting daily inspections, audits, Assessments etc.
• To identify and to either eliminate or minimize any potential risks or hazards to employees and subcontractors affected by their day to day activities.
• Initiate the programs to gain workers commitment to improve and raise health and safety performance level
• Representing HSSE department for the consultant, client & construction meeting such as HSSE issues including HSE plans & Procedures, Nonconformance items, incident investigation, Kick off meeting with subcontractors, Pre job briefing, close out meeting and weekly progress meeting
• Keeping a track to the safety quality matters of the sites and co-ordination of site safety & welfare arrangements
• Co-chair Monthly/Weekly Meeting with HSSE team & Management to review site issues, upcoming initiatives and training programs
• Conduct Fire Evacuation Drill, Medical Emergency Drill, Emergency Spill Response
• Prepare training material relevant to site activities to deliver in weekly Mass meeting for workforce
• Prepare & Review Method statement Risk assessment, Weekly & Monthly Reports for management and client
• Ensure PTW system is efficiently implemented on site
• Monitor proper waste segregation and waste disposal as per the local legislatives
• Assist HR department in the process of hiring Health & safety candidates in to the project (face to face & phone call interviews)
• Carrying out daily walkthrough on site and prepare the observation report to Department Head
• Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.
• Monitors workers are conforming to the HSE standards and requirements of contractor and Client.
• Evaluate working condition and recommends improvements in safety and health method practices and procedure.
• Ensure all the waste materials are properly segregate and transferred to the government approved designated areas
• Applies all safety policy rules, procedures, and standards in the project construction site and strictly Implements safety rules to all personnel at the Site.
• Deliver Tool Box Meeting on site related to their work activity
• Provide induction for new workers and subcontractors
• Check the compliances of daily and weekly PTW’s such as Confined space, Excavation, Hot work, lifting permits
• Inspection of daily checklist of plant and equipment’s, TPC, license and other legal documents etc.
• Inspection of TPC, license and other legal documents etc.
• Preparation of Daily observation report
• Inspection of daily checklist of plants and equipment’s
• Inspection of scaffolding
• Ensure suitable and sufficient controls prior any activities
• Participate routine inspection of firefighting equipment
• Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.
• Developing and conducting training programs to improve safety performances
• Conduct Emergency evacuation post briefing after the drill
• Ensure all the waste materials are properly segregate and transferred to the government approved designated areas.
• Applies all safety policy rules, procedures, and standards in the project construction site and strictly Implements safety rules to all personnel at the Site.
• Coordinates and provides technical assistance to all sub-contractor supervisor and foreman to control the unsafe practice behavior and environment.
• Ensure suitable and sufficient controls are implemented prior any activities
• Provide Various Safety and Health related Training to employees
• Preparing safety reports & records.
• Conduct safety tool box talk prior to start of job in site
• Co-ordinate with client safety officer of any safety issue or concern being raised
Perform inspections of all facilities within company density to assess compliance with company and customer expectations as well as all applicable health and safety requirements.
Conduct environmental health and safety training for all employees.
Investigate all incidents and report finding to management.
Regularly assess processes to identify hazards and appropriate controls in all areas (primarily vehicle maintenance processes) and update all relevant operating procedures to reflect findings.
To develop, implement and monitor Board Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures, assist the Board in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
