PERSONAL PROFILE
A Civil Engineer with over twelve years of working experience in planning, design and implementation, hydrogeological and hydraulic engineering designs relating to dams and flow in channels, geotechnical study and solutions, quantities estimation, administration, and management of civil infrastructure projects. Pertinent to additional future success shall be the contribution of knowledge and expertise braced with sound experience to guarantee sustainable, cost effective outputs on schedule for clientele and mankind.
Currently serving as assistant irrigation engineer with the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority-Head Office, Accra. Some assigned roles include but not limited to analyzing of survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and other topographical or geologic data for projects designs. Material quantities estimation and assisting lead design engineer to design dams, spillways, and canals, determine water demands, flow rates, etc. Direct and participate setting out hydraulic structures and installations, grading prior to construction, conduct soils and materials test to determine adequacy and strength.
Was a Project Engineer/Deputy Project Manager-WEST Construction Inc. Buchanan-Liberia (4.5 Million USD Turnkey Project for Buchanan Renewable-Liberia), providing in-country engineering and design support to foreign partners at the US headquarters in areas as structural design specifications, geotechnical surveys (ground engineering) and solutions, quantity surveying/estimation and also coordinating activities of surveyors for a complete workable design for all earthworks. Played a key role in technical coordination and construction supervision with emphasis on cost, quantities, quality, time, sustainability, health and safety. Also responsible for construction and installation of all ground based fuel and lubricant plants.
Previously with CARDS Ghana as a Technical Supervising Consultant on the 6th EU-Micro Projects Program with a value of 25 million Euros. Was actively engaged in project appraisals, quantities estimation, managing and supervising construction of infrastructure in 4 districts in the eastern region to ensure quality, sustainable but cost effective implementation.
Also gained experience working with IGIP-Ghana (Ingenieur Gesellschaft für Internationale Planungsaufgaben), Ghana on 65m Euro as a construction engineer on the small towns and villages water supply scheme in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Engaged in mapping out of water sources, assisting design engineer to design the water supply system, treatment of underground water, estimate quantities of materials and also coordinate all site activities.
