Ladies Fashion Buyer

Departments - Ladies-Youth, Lingerie & Nightwear, Heritage, Accessories & Jewellery.
Total Business Buying Volume Handling annually - $2.5Million.

Key Responsibilities -
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions regarding price, competition evaluation, resources and fashion as they relate to trends and key items, and react accordingly for assortment planning, coordination of pricing and to impact sales.
• Negotiate and assign target prices based on the product in order to make decisions to buy, while in the market place. Calculate RSP of a product based on its perceived value.
• Analyse history and current business in order to strategically forecast future opportunities. Find the latest trends and improve assortments.
• Plan and select item/assortment for assigned product category to support division and department merchandising strategies.
• Drive results by evaluating OTB, current stock cover position, and other business indicators, and translating data into actionable information, like deciding the assortment and number of SKU’s to be bought.
• Manage aspects related to Merchandising (product related approvals, fit/style review) & Shipment (on time shipping).
• Source new suppliers to maintain product diversification at the best prices, visiting factories at various locations (like China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh). Attending Fairs - IGHF, HKJF, and HKTDC for new supplier sourcing and range selection.
• Execute advertising plans and strategies for assigned product category including ad item selection, space allocation planning, pricing, ad volume forecasting and productivity analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional partners - Planner, territory manger to monitor the over all inventory levels and ensuring stock cover is maintained.
• Evaluate sales, margin, stock cover, overall performance at department and vendor levels from the stock and sales report in order to manage sales and performance against plan.
• Assist Sr. Buyer with guiding product development in partnership with product design and sourcing for assigned product category.

• Follow-up on the critical path with teams on weekly basis .And proactively work on production related concerns avoiding possible slide in delivery.
