• Wavelength services OTN architecture are widely used instead of SONET/SDH, as it supports forward error correction feature in addition to increase the potential on optical cable and which provide network operators to use reduced number of regenerators. FEC - Improves performance of an existing link between two points, Increases the maximum span of the link in systems without repeaters, Improves the overall quality of the link by early diagnosis of degradation and link problems.
Responsibilities:
• Performance monitored at port level for 100G, 10G, 40G packs at each registers 15-MIN, 1-DAY.
• FM module will manage all the port level facility management and EM module will manage whole NE functionality.
• Worked on test script changes specific to OT packs and handled different features such as LLDP, GCC, Protection Switching.
• To handle the OT issues, bugs raised.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Project: LEGACY/ISAM (PTP protocol support) IEEE1588v2 PTP transparent forwarding for simplex and duplex environment.
Responsibilities:
• Implemented the CLI and SNMP part
• MIB document preparation and uploaded to central web library.
• Worked on the Redundancy part to synchronize the data between both NT's (Active and standby)
• Manual testing executed and handled the feature related to issues
• PTP packets forwarded transparently over UDP/IPV4 and Multicast Ethernet Frames in ISAM-FD shelves
• Involved in Bug fixing related to PTP feature.
