Oversee general administration and leadership of program and service delivery and recreation facility management for the department.
· Develop policies and procedures, establish annual goals and make recommendations to the Director.
· Ensure recreation, cultural and social programs are executed in accordance with Program Master Plan and other youth development program plans.
· Lead staff in the creation, development or program goals and objectives with department strategic plan; provide input and direction in the development of comprehensive, development master and site-specific plans and direct implementation of department assets and facility management programs.
· Oversee annual budget submission and conducts regular review of departmental budget and resources to enhance department development, programs and services.
· Develop and monitors grant and operating budgets including national, state, regional, and local granting agencies.
· Oversee and direct all administrative and support functions to include Council agenda items, contract issues and renewals, routine review of purchasing, revenue and payroll documentation and procedures.
· Oversee personnel management, lead staff through regular communication and coaching, and instruct staff on policy.
· Develop customer service guidelines for department and provide training for all staff.
· Develop and manage department’s marketing plan. Ensure positive and consistent messages regarding department programs, parks and initiatives are conveyed via various outlets. Maintain communication with city-wide Public Information Office.
· Attend and lead public meetings; board and commission meetings, including Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, Commission on Children and Youth, Mayor’s Fitness Council and other related boards/commissions and groups.
· Attend City Council meetings and serves as the liaison to other city departments especially Finance, Budget and Legal.
· Assist with developing Strategic plan for the department. Lead staff in developing long term goals.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge and skills by involvement with professional organizations and maintaining certifications/licenses.
· May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

work both on front-end and back-end functionalities with the possibility to choose projects which interest you most
