With my 2 years experience from sales in commodity, i was able to gather enough working experience added to my flair for marketing . Previously we relied on one on one sales until the growth of the internet online sales, and now it has shifted to social media sales marketing .

From the aforementioned i was able to use the skill to start up my own real estate marketing and sales company. I started the company with only one employee and grew to 8 employee with a managing partner who is currently the CEO in Nigeria.

My ego for sales have also engineered me to look outward and experience sales in other countries, to manage my sales skills in other aspect of human endeavour and out of real estate if necessary and to add value to other organisation sales from my versed experience in sales and marketing .

My major goal is to explore the international experience in sales and marketing hitherto to all the experience i have gathered in my home country.

My country Nigeria is exceptionally a difficult place to excel in sales due to low purchasing power of the majority and lack of infrastructure and enabling environment but despite all the hindrances i was able to excel and achieve success with my company

My responsibility was to meet a set sales target for a week with my team, we did remarkable we
we in the promotion of the new product and by the end of the first first quarter of the year we
had penetrated the soft drink competitive market, our product was visible and by the end of
the first year we already had more demand than we could supply, it was a challenging
experience because importation was slow and by the end of the second year there was
a tot total ban of importation of fruit juice into the country and the company
was forced to shut down

Learning how to sell was a natural inbuilt inherent in me, I remembered when i was just 10 years old in Mushin, a printing press folded up and threw away all the books to the garbage, I and my friends took the left over books went straight to the market, hawk, sold i made some income, i could remember the title of one of the literature book was " Aduke omo jaiye-Jaiye to di woli" the book was about a prostitute that turned to become a priestess, it sold very fast and at that point i discovered sales and marketing is what i enjoyed doing most.

The joy of bringing the buyer and the seller together to enjoy a mutual benefit is what i love most in my sales career.

I was trained as a teacher i obtained a Teachers certificate in 1990 where i experience public speaking and the ability to impress on involuntary individual , especially when you have a child who is not cooperating ,my teaching background was the foundation of my sales skill. I proceeded for my Bachelors degree in both Arts and Education and this improved my skilled favourably to sales. Immediately after my University degree i worked with a soft drink company from the USA we were given target to sell to the open market it was at that point that i rediscover myself that i have flair for selling, i did remarkably well and earn the role of a team leader ,the sales was successful and it lasted for six months until when importation of the juice product was banned by Government policy to give room for local industry. After my sales experience i digress into office work where i became the protocol and security office for Agip Oil Company as an external contract staff at this point life became boring despite the highly income job and eventually i resigned to follow my sales passion and establish my real estate sales company "Aghao Ventures" From 2007 up till date i held the position of the Managing Director and was able to live happily with my passion for sales. I was one of the pioneers Sales Company for the Lekki Free Trade Zone . I started my real estate career with rental apartment which i found non challenging i went further to challenge my skill by venturing into sales of undeveloped land in the Free zone axis, as at year 2005, it was a barren land i was one of the first pioneer sales broker that saw potentials and was able to generate public awareness and prospects of the Zone which translated into sales and good income for my company. We closed over 100 sales deals and "Akeem Agbaje" became a household associated with the Lekki Free Trade Zone with Nigerians at homes and in diaspora.

I studied education and this have been the backbone to which i built my career in sales,i was accustom to achieving goals as a teacher your ultimate is to see your student excel ,with this training i was able to make my customers make the right choice and not just about the money but to ensure they get the best of what they aid to achieve. My discipline in teachers college and University encouraged me to st a higher goal for myself and not limited to teaching i ventured into sales because this is why my flair is and i was able to achieve success in the sales of soft drink and real estate I was able to learn how to convince a client to buy just like persuading a child to learn ,i translated teaching theories into sales marketing methods and it did worked well for me
