• Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies & safety standards.
• Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.
• Maintains awareness of active and developing situations.
• Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
• Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority
• Provide assistance in incident/accident investigation
• Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements
• Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures
• Ensures there are safety messages in each Incident Action Plan
• Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the Regional HSE Manager for promulgation to the management
• Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
• Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedure
• Regular site inspection and Follow up actions
• Reporting of Company’s Achievements ( Safety Awards And Zero Accident )
• Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
• Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to
• identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Plan and implement OHS policies and programs
Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
Review existing policies and procedures
Adhere to all the rules and regulations

Perform electrical systems maintenance
Install and maintain ventilation and refrigeration units
Inspect alarm systems
Maintain plumbing systems
Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order
Perform peer-to-peer inspections on work performed by our other maintenance technicians
Read blueprints and survey structures on grounds
Create inspection and repair schedules
Perform light landscaping and groundskeeping work as needed
Perform pest control duties (i.e. spray insecticide)
Select and contract specialists on larger maintenance related projects
Advise purchasing manager during new equipment purchases
Train employees on proper equipment usage
Assist in on-the-job-training of newly hired maintenance technicians
Perform administrative computer tasks as needed
Act as on-call handyman when needed
