Responsibilities:-
Lead the development of projects in the Potato Chips (PC- Lays) category while being the departmental TC technical “expert”.
1. Actively lead the potato chip category related to product development projects.
2. Ensure that quality systems are in place to deliver consistent quality to consumers for the potato chip portfolio.
4. Develop project briefs/plans ensuring they are aligned with R&D strategy, and meet Marketing requirements.
5. Implement company standard processes of consumer product testing, sensory, analytical, etc to ensure the delivery of outstanding products to the market.
6. Understand and develop own technical skills to execute product and process development.
7. Application of R&D tools (e.g. product testing, experimental design…etc.) to identify and action continuous product improvement.
8. Handling and coordinating potato chip product trials and sample preparation including packaging development.

11. Act as the guardian of quality for the brands through owning product, process and material design standards (including gold standard/reference product supply and keeper of specifications) and tracking in-market performance through Frito-Lay Challenge, Weak-Link and competitive testing.

Product Quality & Safety

• Check samples from all incoming raw materials and packaging materials and undertake acceptance only if all microbial specifications are met.
• Record all product Microbial analysis related parameters to be able to refer back at a later date.
• And report all product parameters as required by the PepsiCo schedule. These should be reported on a daily basis to Manager.
• To conduct air microbial quality tests /water analysis/personal hands swabbing check personal hygiene status of employees. Highlight discrepancies to Manager
• To actively involved in plant HACCP team
• To present any micro-analysis related documents that may required for audits like AIB /SASO/American Military audit
• To co-ordinate with purchasing and warehouses to advise the suppliers on improving ways and handling materials from micro-contamination point of view
