Commissioning and Maintenance of Microwave Transmission Links(RTN980, RTN950, AVIAT Harris STRATEX, ERICSSON CERAGON)

Responsibilities
•Commissioning and Maintenance of Microwave Transmission Links (AWY 9400, MPR 9500, MPT-HC, MPT-MC, MPT HC version 2 and MXC 9500(HARRIS-STRATEX ECLIPSE)).
•Full Practical knowledge of QOS Schedulers, VLAN and Performance Monitoring on MPT
•Commissioning and Maintenance of SDH Backbone LSY9600/ADM.
•Commissioning, Integration and Maintenance of both 2G RBS and 3G NODEB
•Upgrading 3g NodeB from hybrid to full IP in order to correct IP RAN failure.
•Conducting VSWR and DTF tests on installed Antennae RF feeder path.
•Full Knowledge of AWY, MPR and MXC IDU Radios
•Execution of Hardware and Software Configurations of BTS 9100
•Ensuring 24 Hours Life Network
•Analyzing Log Files of BTS 9100, MXC 9500 and MPR 9500 Radios
Monitoring performance of Microwave links (checking RSL, Interference,
•Perform Extensive Signal Tracing to Ascertain the Cause of Drop Calls when and if such Occur
•Execution of both Physical and Software Routings on MPT 9500, MPTP500-E AWY 9400 and MXC 9500 Links.
• Managing different Team of Network Engineers on Microwave and Fiber Network and providing network support from the NMS on SDH, 2G and 3G Issues
•Strategized the team’s work in different regions in order to achieve 90-100% visibility of all the NES on the NMS, of which 90% has been achieved so far
•Managing over 500 Network Elements (Routers, Switches, Radios, Multiplexers, BTS, and BSC) in National ISP Network
•Preparation of NMS Topology of EMTS Sites under ALCATEL Domain Using UNIXV2.2.6
•Provision of on-site diagnostic and restoration technical support to subcontractors in resolving transmission and BSS and RNS network element detailing.
•Supervision of Sub-contractor teams activities - which include preventive maintenance, spares management but not limited to these.
Troubleshooting of Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) Panels
•Installation of Dual and Single Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Panels
•Conversion of Generators’ Negative Signals to Positive Signals and Vice Versa
•Running and Termination of Signals Alarm Cables from the Automatic Mains Failure Panel to the Chrome Block
•Swapping of Utility Mains Between Generators and PHCN on the Automatic Mains Failure Panels
•Supervisory Role in the Installation of Three Phase Industrial Generators at various Telecom Sites(Such as ZAIN, MTN, Helios Tower and HUAWEI VISAFONE)
•Installation of Flow Switch to the RF Chrome Block
Rectification of Faults on the Street Lights
•Maintenance of ministry’s electrical appliances
•Installation of 11kvA transformers in the rural areas
General Switching Operation of System 12 Equipment
