As a medical transcriptionist, I work closely with providers or clinic/hospital representatives, providing them with clinical assistant through back office services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Convert dictation files into transcripted Word format.
- Proofread finished reports and ensuring 98% to 100% accuracy in accordance to the HIPAA.
- Keep confidentiality at all times.
- Manage final end reports and udpate the client with status reports, total number of files received from client, and total number of minutes of all files received.
- Input data and information from final transcribed reports into the corresponding patient visit notes with the guidance of point-and-click templates through use of the Meditab System (Intelligent Medical Software).
- Coordinate closely with teammates and communicate any valuable information such as work-related changes or concerns.
- Volunteered as Treasurer for Council of Student Organization (CSO) from A.Y. 2015-2016 - Volunteered as Secretary for Supreme Student Government from A.Y. 2016-2017 - Completed research and thesis with the title of "Testing the Effects of Polluted River Water from Butuanon River on Allium cepa" - Attended informational seminars on proper waste management - Attended Fun Runs for rehabilitation of rivers. - Attended leadership training seminars and inner formation camps.
