Key functions and responsibilities include
• Patient assessment.
• Measuring, Designing and fabrication of Orthotic and Prosthetic devices
• Supervising junior staff
• Delivery of prosthetic and orthotic appliances
• Attending to ward rounds
• Minor maintenance to Orthopaedic equipment and tools
• Volunteers for the Club foot clinic.
• Attend to Outreach clinics and to write quarterly reports on work done at the center and at the outreach centres.
• Repairs to prosthetic and Orthotic devices
Patient assessment, Measuring of prosthetic and Orthotic devices on patients, Designing, fabricating, fitting of devices, gait analysis, finishing of the appliences and deliveryof the finished appliences to the patients. Biomechanics if the Orthosis , Biomechanics of the Lower limbs. 1 month Field attachment where one is required to make 9 diffrent Appliences.
