Managing a team of quantity surveyors with various roads and infrastructure projects
for the construction of roads, surface water network, foul sewerage, landscaping,
Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE), potable water, electricity, and communications
networks. Project total size is 5, 000 hectares.
Responsibilities:
• Led the preparation of project cost estimates at pre-tender stage, benchmarking
exercises, and value engineering.
• Perform quantity take off using 2D and 3D models, utilizing various measuring tools
and using CESMM as standard method of measurement.
• Coordination with design team leads, commercial and project manager to ensure
quality and timely project delivery.
• Responsible in the preparation of tender documents and bills of quantities.
• Played a key role in reviewing the financial compliance of tenderers during the
technical tender evaluation.
• Performed a lead role in the evaluation of commercial tender submissions of
contractors, in-depth analysis of rates and tender report to provide
recommendations to the client.
• Engaged in the formation of contracts.
• Established a cost database of various projects from pre to post award contracts.
• Prepare a Cost Impact Assessments (CIA) for the projects on site, comparisons of
tender and IFC drawings in valuing variations, and Contractor’s claim review.
• Engaged in preparation of Final Accounts for Project Close out.

Responsibilities:
• Assessment of the works done and preparation of interim payment certificates for
the consultant and contractors.
• Review of the contractor’s claims
• Valuing variations costs for the Request for Change (RFC) and other cost impact
assessments
• Involved in updating the change management trackers for the project’s weekly and
monthly reports
• Management of cost exercises to resolve issues on site
