Aviation Manager & Safety Pilot
Qatar Aviation Company
Total years of experience :3 years, 9 Months
Throughout the past four years I was fortunate to work for Qatar Aviation Company. I was hired by the companies' CEO to manage all his aviation activities and aircraft. As a commercial pilot and flight instructor I was also responsible for planning & executing overseas flights to countries in the middle east and Europe, I was also managing a fleet of five aircraft ensuring their airworthiness and readiness, I was also responsible for processing financial transactions, provided budgets and monitored deadlines for medical certificates and pilot licenses.
Working for the CEO on a personal level also allowed me the opportunity to welcome his guests to Qatar and show them around the country which I really enjoyed doing.
As an operations officer at Qatar Aeronautical College flight line I was responsible for scheduling training flights and assisting all students and instructors with their flight preparations.
The Certificated Flight Instructor is issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Obtaining this certificate allows me to instruct people in a classroom and in an aircraft on how to fly an aircraft. As a flight instructor I represent the Federal Aviation Administration, therefore obtaining this license is one of the most challenging in the United States. I managed to pass the examination on my first attempt.
The airline transports pilots programme consists of fourteen theoretical examinations and eight practical examinations.
