-Oversee the reliability and integrity of 3 x Rolls Royce RB211 Sales Gas Compressors, 4 x GE PGT25+ Booster Gas Compressors, 5 x SOLAR Taurus 60 Power Generators, 3 x York Refrigeration Compressors. The scope includes, but not limited to;
o Provide technical support to offshore team, as well as conducting troubleshooting and recovery.
o Provide input and subsequent review of all turbomachinery related root cause analysis (RCA)
o Conduct major machinery maintenance (PM/CM), including equipment changeout and subsequent refurbishment and overhaul.
o Prepare short term and long term maintenance program for all turbomachinery.
- Manage hook-up, commissioning and start-up of 4 x GE PGT+ 25 Booster Compressors and 1 additional SOLAR Taurus 60 Power Generator.
- Conduct verification on turbomachinery Safety Critical Element (SCE) integrity management.
- Risk screening for all turbomachinery Management of Change (MoC) request and execution.
- Establish critical sparing strategy for all turbomachinery equipment.
- Prepare annual turbomachinery OPEX and CAPEX budget.
- Monitor and track facilities availability and reliability and prepare recommendation for improvement.
- Monitor and identify all bad actors and propose subsequent mitigation and permanent solution.
- Led Tapis Field section, in operating 4 x Kongsberg gas turbine power generator and 4 x Solar centaur 40 crude oil pump, 2 X Solar Titan 130 power generator, 2 X Rolls Royce RB211 Compressors, including it auxiliaries and ancillaries.
- Person-In-Charge for plant performance and reliability monitoring. Conducted continuous plant performance monitoring in terms of plant availability, reliability and outages indices and provided analysis report and recommendation to Division Management on monthly, half yearly and annual basis.
- Person-In-Charge for plant failure analysis. Led and conducted troubleshooting/investigation on numerous failures and unplanned outages. Prepared and submitted failure/root cause analysis (RCA) reports, recovery actions taken and recommendation to prevent recurrence to Division Management.
- Person-In-Charge for plant maintenance planning. Planned and coordinated gas turbine fleet short, medium and long term cyclic maintenance, inclusive of Combustion Inspection, Hot Gas Path Inspection (HGPI) and Major Inspection according to gas turbines’ respective Equivalent Operation Hours (EOH).
- Person-In-Charge for post-maintenance plant commissioning. Led and conducted gas turbine commissioning from flange-to-flange basis. Troubleshot and resolved all prohibitive anomalies prior to unit test loading at 100% maximum continuous rating (MCR).
- Person-In-Charge for gas turbine performance and reliability testing. Coordinated and conducted annual Gas Turbine Performance Test and Blackstart /Islanding Test.
- Business Unit representative for Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiative. Trained and designated as facilitator for the said methodology. Conducted Preventive Maintenance (PM) review as an application of the methodology for higher plant reliability, bad actors’ identification and retrospective mitigation/preventive active plans either from review of existing or introduction of new PM.
- Managed and oversaw all departmental functions;
o Review all plant defects/notifications in CMMS & SAP-PM of their status and completion on daily basis.
o Preparation and monitoring of annual OPEX and CAPEX budget.
o Assessment and gap identification of subordinates’ technical competency, and prepared the required training plans.
- Sime Darby Industrial (Tractors Malaysia) commissioning & reliability focal point for Diesel & Gas engine. Among the responsibilities were to:
o Conduct troubleshooting and recovery on diesel & gas engine operational upset and equipment failure analysis (RCA). Subsequently prepare reports on troubleshooting, recovery, failure analysis and recommendation to clients.
o Conduct equipment Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) on minimum quarterly basis. Monitor, analyze and conduct Predictive/Preventive Maintenance work for diesel & gas engine based on CBM findings.
o Identify and manage equipment critical spare part. Collaborated with Supply Chain Management to ensure sufficient stocking and to minimize equipment downtime.
o Conduct RCM/Preventive Maintenance Review, Standardization and Optimization for all critical equipment.
o Conduct equipment performance test and health check to determine conformance of equipment operational output to design process envelope.
- Prepared annual reliability budget and oversee monthly actual expenditure.
- Represented the Operating Unit (OU) to carry the role for Operation Readiness and Assurance (ORA) to conduct evaluation of equipment Fit-for-Purpose and Fit-ForService during project pre-commissioning, hook-up & commissioning (HUC), endurance run and handover.
